Aliens - GO HOME!

The pesky orange dude is still behind the door to our wonderful windowsill. He really wants out, and to play with me. He thinks he already belongs here! So much nerve!!

I've been showing him! I hiss and spit like I'm a rabid animal!! Mommy isn't happy with me doing that, because she claps her hands loudly and that gets me all distracted.

For whatever reason, Mommy and Daddy got a bigger cat tree condo. I really like using the lower scratching post so far. I'm not so big on climbing on it and going into the little cave, so I'm not sure why those things are there, but I'll just ignore them for now.

The Alien's toy has made its way onto the cat tree condo. I can't figure out how this happened unless his reach is REALLY good...I have to keep sniffing it until I find out.

Here We Go Again?

Another invader has entered my midst! I am almost too tired of this to even go sniff under the door and hiss..yet I must. Whoever's behind that door is orange and doesn't seem to want to fight at all. In fact, he's putting his paws under the door like he wants to play. The nerve! Doesn't he know that only my little brother is allowed to do that? It's almost too much to watch. Yet, I must.

This afternoon Mommy went in there and I heard all the adoration....I just stayed curled up on the settee' like I didn't care. My eyes were wide open though...I don't miss anything! I also gave Mommy a hurt look when she got back. She was nice enough to come over and pet me and kiss the top of my head, which I really, really like, so I guess she still loves me. Why does she bring these other cats in the house?

This one seems different, though. I think he might be staying. He sounds like me..which really freaked me out when I first heard him...I knew _I_ wasn't making that noise! I guess it's not that bad that he put his paws under the door. Maybe he will be fun to play with, after all. I am very skeptical about this, though. Oh, it's all so much to think about and ponder over and shoot guilt-ridden looks over at Mommy and Daddy....I'm going to take a nap!

Whahooo, Birthday!

I just KNOW that I'm having a fishy dinner tonight...and I love it!

Bonus: Mommy And Daddy got up during the night (MY Playtime!!) and there was much snuggling and Daddy even played with me a bit and Mommy played with me a lot. Purrs!!

Extra Fun Bonus!! Mommy fell asleep on the couch with me! Well, she slept a little and then I climbed all over her, purring and nuzzling her awake and this repeated until for some reason or another, she petted me, said "Goodnight, boo boo" and went back into her bedroom. What??

She left the blankie she was using on the couch though, and I'm going to snuggle up into it like a big, black ball of furr and have a Birthday nap!

Purrs to you all!

Extra love all the way around

It's purrtastic to be the Diary pick of the day! And I've been feelin the love a bit more since my brother has been gone. I kneaded Daddy's lap this morning which I didn't do for a very long time, and I like hanging out with him in the mornings before he leaves for work.

Mommy cuddles me more, too, which is fantastic, and she's also playing with me in the mornings and evenings. Something about 'extra pounds' or whatnot, whatever it is, I love the attention!

Mommy and Daddy thank you all for your kind and loving thoughts and prayers.

Where is he?

My brother Munch must be hiding somewhere. I'm sure I will find him so I keep sniffing for him. But I can't find him, so I kind of whine to Mommy. I didn't think I liked the little guy so much. The last time I saw him I sniffed him and he smelled funny. Mommy said it was "medicine"...whatever that means. I really couldn't sniff him enough. I almost licked the top of his head but I was afraid he would taste bad, too.

Mommy and Daddy are both really sad. I am kind of sad, too. I'm sticking close to Mommy so I don't miss any other changes around here-you never know! I'm also giving Daddy extra attention since Munch isn't on his lap.

I sure wish I had my little buddy to chase around here and wrestle with...

In better news, Mommy got something soft and fuzzy in the mail last night, and she was very excited. So was I, once I stepped onto it...she called them fuzzy fleece pjs!! I must have them. She took them from me but I will reclaim them when I have the first opportunity! Meows to all!

Still Number One!

I don't know why Mommy lets people in our house with other cats, but she did it again today. Two cow-looking creatures infiltrated our midst and have taken up residence in the prized Second Bedroom...home of The Longest Most Wonderful Windowsill in the World. Why do they get the great view?

Let me tell you, it's a good thing that we still have the run of the rest of the house. I am Mommy's favorite, still! Still number one!!!

Purrs, dear kitties. Purrs!

Diary Pick!!! *Purrrrrrrrrrpurrrrrpurrrrr*

Purrs! I am soo happy to be a diary pick! The fame! The adoration! The love! It's all I could ever have wanted!

Well, actually, today is cool for another reason. Because of this weird "Hurricane" thing, we took a looong drive and this time, not to the vet! We're in this room with our purrfect parents, and that weird parrot they keep us away from is in the bathroom. It's wonderful here; we get to jump on the bed! There is also a windowsill, though it's kind of chilly and there is not a nice tree outside like at home where all the enticing birdies like to jump around, just out of my reach.

Ahh, nothing like home but it's wonderful to be vacationing with Mommy and Daddy... I hear rumors we get to sleep with them tonight...I have napped with my Mommy before on the couch for a few hours when she wasn't feeling well.. but this is a KING SIZE BED!!! I can strrrreeetch out and hog at least half of it with my long body! Purrrr purrr purrrr!

My little brother is purr-etty funny

The little rascal, as I like to call him, has grown up a bit and well, I have to admit, he's grown on me, too. We now have a finely choreographed dance involving grooming, which leads into a precise show of wrestling, semi-pro style. We also understand each other's "stop" meows too, which helps, considering I'm not the quickest on my feet, and he can jump over tall furniture, after me, with a single bound.

But, the kid still has some strange habits...ones I just can't seem to grasp the point of. For instance, Mommy gets lots of packages in the mail, in these boxy things. Well, every time she is opening one of these things up, Munch has to run over and try to jump into it...sometimes before it's unpacked! Mommy seems to find this amusing but I'm just purrplexed. Why not wait until there's room enough for your body before entering? It just doesn't make sense.

Another thing the little rascal does with these box things is, he likes to hide in them. Mind you, I know exactly where he is at all times because, well, I'm smart like that. But, he seems to think he's pulling the fuzz over my eyes or something because he'll go into the box right in front of me, wait a little while and decide I've got no clue he's in it! It's really quite ridiculous but he seems convinced!

Then, I'll have a blast with him, just strolling past the box as if I've forgotten all about him (realize; we're the only 2 cats in the house) and Munch will dart out after me, expecting my surprise - only to have me subject him to my uninterrupted stroll. Hee hee! Jokes on you, Kid!

It's true; the older you get, the funnier the unwise underaged are!

It's been a loooong time! I'm all grown up now!

Purrs and Mews to you all! A lot has changed since our last 'chat', the coolest part is that Mommy works at home all the time now! Yeay, Mommy!! At lunchtime when she eats she lets me lay on her lap while she watches...whatever that stuff is on TV (I wouldn't know - I'm busy sleeping thru it!). It's so wonderful I can't help but look at her adoringly before purring myself to sleep in a ball.

Now that I'm all grown up (Mommy said something about me being a senior?) I sleep a little bit more and play a little bit less, BUT I have really become drawn to my humans. Last time Mommy and that fellow called Daddy (I never really paid much attention to him before but he's a pretty cool guy)were sitting together on the couch, I was able to bask in their human-ness by stretching out over both of their laps and turning over on my back. Of course, they could not resist tickling my belly for me. It was simply marvelous. I enjoyed it, too. Purrrs!

A new year...new adventures!

Meows and Purrs everyone! I was looking over my last diary entry and had to update you all... the second bedroom is now open to us again! Mommy put something weird in there called a 'desk' near the window but that makes it more convenient for Munch and I to spring over onto the windowsill. Someone has to keep an eye on those birds!

Meanwhile, it's Spring. This has flared up my allergies a bit and Mommy is going to talk to the vet the next time we go. I've had two episodes of asthma attacks in the last two weeks. Thankfully our furrends in the Cats with Asthma group made some helpful suggestions for talking to the vet, and Mommy's going to "pull that cat out of her bag" so to speak. Meow! Munch would not appreciate being pulled out of a bag, but I certainly would, especially if Mommy were doing the pulling! :)
