Hello, Furrends!
I am making do here with the Kid; he is sometimes not annoying.
Mommy and Daddy have a point in that he DOES look awfully cute when he's sleeping or even adjusting positions in his sleep...it's mesmerizing, but don't tell him I said that!

He doesn't ALWAYS annoy me, like, sometimes it's nice to trot up to great Mommy and Daddy at the door together...or create more noise together when it's dinnertime and Mommy or Daddy forget all about us - before we starve to death. Simon has a nice, piercing meowl which is pretty effective, methinks.

We take turns stalking and attacking The Elusive Red Dot. Simon's hearing is so good he alerts me to its approach by leaping for the front door, where it usually makes its first appearance...kind of nice to have an early warning system like that. So yeah, there are some perks to this Kid so I guess I'll let him stay.

Give Me Strength!

Oy vey, kittenland... Oy vey!

My "new brother" is a real pain in my furry butt!! LITERALLY! He often lunges and tries to take a bite out of it!! I hiss and spit and swipe at him but he is so thick, he just thinks I'm playing. I'll give him playing!!!

I got back at him the other day, a little bit. I stayed quietly on the coffee table and as he passed with his tail straight up, I swatted the tip of it. Two or three times! It's like he didn't even feel it! Kept coming back for more... hehehehehehe purrpurrpurr

For real, though...sometimes I'll be sleeping and he'll pounce on me. Dude has like five pounds on me! It's really a lot to deal with, Furrends!

There are rare times though, where I kind of lick the top of his head a little bit. They're really rare, and usually I'm kind of in a sleepy daze and don't realize what I'm doing. That doesn't last long though, because he's bound to smack me back to reality...

I am really getting too old for this nonsense! I just hang out close to Mommy and she kind of keeps my new brother at bay for me.

Another day, another catnap

Well. I can say that I am really happy that Mommy hasn't stopped adoring me for Simon! Simon still wants to play with me. Most of the time I am pretty sure he doesn't want to kill me, but sometimes...I'm still not sure, so I'll raise a racket like it's the end of the world, so Mommy and Daddy know about it.

Still, we nap on the couch in proximity to one another and usually sniff noses and/or butts without a problem, and I really don't like eating without him near me, so Mommy and Daddy are pretty happy about it.

Also, Simon's bonding more with Daddy, which is fine with me, because Daddy still gives me lots of pets and attention and I can still curl up on his lap...

I just have to make sure that I get lots of hugs and snuggles and belly rubs from Mommy EVERY day. I really love her!! This Simon kid, he has some stuff yet to learn, but he's coming along slowly...

Diary Pick of the Day! Purrrrr (rolls over for belly rub)

Ahhh, this is the good life! Getting the appreciation I know I deserve...it's so wonderful.

Especially since that Simon kid is now fully sharing the space that I used to parade around in, alone. I'm still training him...I don't know why he's so slow on the uptake. I guess not every cat can be cunning, cuddly, and bright all at once...

Surrender...

I've all about given up with this Simon cat coming in and taking up my space...sometimes I lay down for a nap and he comes over and wants to PLAY, NOW!! I hiss at him. Sometimes I'm in my box trying to get some privacy and he comes over wanting to PLAY, NOW! Then he pounces me when I get out of the box. I swat at him and hiss and he just looks bewildered.

Thankfully, Mommy has taken to use other distractions when this box-stalking freak is all in my face...she rolls one of his noisy or lighted toys down the hall and I FINALLY get some peace!

It's not all bad, though. We get to play with Mommy and sometimes Daddy some more and actually, my jumping skills are getting really impressive from what they tell me!

They still put Simon in his room for overnight, so everyone gets some peace...I know the kid will be staying in my space again soon though, so I'm working on tolerating him...

I sure love Mommy's lap!

I wouldn't give this up for the world...it's purrfect, folks!

Mommy hasn't let me on her lap for a little while, I'm not sure why, something about "not feeling well" and she'll give me scritches, and snuggle a little, but it's just not the same as soaking up all the warmth from her body like a furry sponge....ahhh.

I have had to eat my dinner in Simon's room, and sometimes they trick me and get me into the next room over and then switch me, which is kind of annoying. I really am not into this Simon cat's smell, I know he wants to take over and replace me and that's just NOT cool.

Mommy has started petting me with this stuff on her hands, supposed to "calm me down" -Whatever! i don't need to calm down!! SHEESH!!! I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM!! Hmm...kinda nice to get extra scritches on my back, though...

She and Daddy watched "My Cat from Hell" last night, they were both muttering things about "changes" and "ideas"....this all makes me very concerned, readers. Stay tuned, for I feel something is afoot...

Simon seems to be a purrmanet fixture. (Huff.)

Well, fellow kitties, it seems all my efforts to oust this cat have been thwarted. I'm not a quitter, it's just...maybe the kid isn't so bad, after all.

I get to have dinner in "his" room, and I sleep on his bed, and actually, a few times he's broken in here (I don't know how he does that) and while I hiss at him if he comes toward me, he really can be kind of cute with his little paws under the door, I guess.

I will have to get back to you on all this, dear readers!

So. Annoying.

Well, The Intruder has a name, and it's "Simon." He was let out into My Territory last night after Mommy played with me a bit. I was forced to have some treats within a yard of him, and to play with a dangle toy on one side of Mommy while he played on the other. I shouldn't have to share Mommy! But, I do love playing so I did some of that.

At the same time, I had to hiss, and sometimes swat at this Simon character, because he's so darn purrsistant. He just keeps coming up near me and meowing, or staying out of my way and meowing, or bounding away from my general direction (and meowing).

And after all that annoyance, (which took a lot of energy to respond to; I'm not gonna lie) Mommy tricked me into "Simon's room" and closed the door! She left me there FOR-EVER!! The dude's smell was all over Everything....and DONT get me started on The Hair!! Those orange fuzzies on my shiny black coat!! *Shiver*

And you know what that character did?? He kept trying to play Pawsies under the door WHILE I WAS TRAPPED IN "HIS" ROOM! Well, I hissed some more at him, have no fear. Though I must say, I did sniff him when I thought nobody would notice...

I just want to crawl onto Mommy's lap and snuggle there Forever. I'm even hitting Daddy up for attention. He's a good snuggler, too. I'm keeping up the "good" fight, though...at least until I get too tired.

I think the Invader may be staying... *annoyed meow*

Well my dear friends, it has been a furr-ruffling couple of weeks here in Perri Town. Mommy and Daddy keep playing with the Invader in the other room, and sometimes they even let him wander part of the hallway, but it's blocked off from me.

Last night was unreal...they got him into the spare bathroom, and when I went into the spare bedroom where the Invader is staying, I had to stay in there, surrounded by his smell! At least they were feeding me...otherwise I really would have thrown a hissy fit!

I keep hissing under the door at the dude but he just won't go away. And those paws! He meows plaintively and puts those paws under the door...like he's my buddy! I don't know what's wrong with this cat, but he is NOT my buddy! I mean, he may not smell so bad but... I hope that Mommy and Daddy don't REALLY mean to keep him.

Nobody can replace my little brother Munch! I will have none of that!

Though...I have started to try to peer under the door a little bit...and I do look around the corner into the room when Mommy or Daddy are going inside. I mean, I have to keep tabs on the situation.

The only thing keeping me the slightest bit sane about all this is that Mommy has been giving me extra love. Daddy, too!

I guess he really doesn't smell bad...but if I can boss him out of here, I'm sure going to try!!
