Skills: Peridot taught herself to snap a hairband across the room so she could chase it.
Arrival Story: Peridot followed us home after straying in the local lot for a month, or so people told us (we had just moved in). She was about six months old at the time and starving. She charmed both of us within three days with her intelligence and affectionate demeanor.
Bio: Peridot has medium long hair which is very soft and shiny. Her eyes are Peridot green. She is probably at least part Siamese or purrhaps Burmese, as she has quite a distinct, loving personality. Perri is extremely trusting and gentle, playful, and clever. She loves to "help" me in whatever I'm doing (thanks, cutie). Perri happily greets any visitor at the door, sniffing new ones carefully.
Well, I'm huffed and puffed over this, fur-rends! Mommy and Daddy are very upset that our only resource to air our concerns and thoughts is going away in a few short months!! We want to save our diaries but Mom and Dad are struggling to figure out how to do that.
In other news, The Old Cat, Napoleon, came out about a dozen times the last couple weeks and chased Simon around like a crazy cat. But, yesterday, she attacked Simon very aggressively and Mommy put her back in her room and says she's 'done' with letting her out. Mommy tried to distract Napoleon from hurting Simon but nothing seemed to work. IT was very strange since we have a large place here and I was able to sit aside out of the fray and just watch without interfering or anything.
Simon and I tend to get along a lot better and sometimes he can even behave and sleep next to me. He can be cute, but he can also be a huge pain in the furry butt. At which time I smack his face a few times and let him know he's being annoying!
I will miss all my fur-rends here and I'm sad to see Catster go.
Oh, Mommy took Simon and I to that awful place they call 'The Vet' yesterday...I was soooo nervous! But of course I was a good girl and was very sweet for my exam _and_ my vaccines!
The vet spent a lot of time petting me which was AWESOME and told Mommy how nice my coat looks, all shiny, and that I'm a VERY good groomer :) It's really nice to have my efforts appreciated. If only my brother Simon were as good at grooming himself...but I digress...
I - I mean, we both...got so much attention from passers by and also the vet staff.. Mommy put our carriers facing heads out, so we got all kinds of "So handsome!" etc comments. My eyes were, of course, the highlight of most of the conversation.
For whatever reason, The Big Pest gets a lot of swooning comments from the ladies...AND the men. I don't understand it. Then again, they don't have to be wrestled by him every day like *I* do!
Anyway, I particularly made friends with one of the gals behind the counter, who was really into my eyes (I mean, they are stunning!) and so I gave her a slow eye blink...which delighted her to no end! Mommy was also approving as this introduced her to another fan of Jackson Galaxy! We love him!!
