OMC!! I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I saw all the mail from my friends congratualting me on being Diary Pick of the Day!!!!! What an honor....this is so much fun!!! I love Catster, my family loves Catster...everything about it is great...most especially the wonderful friends we have made here. I feel very special.
Mom and Dad are slowly adjusting to me not being here. They celebrated my birthday the other day....I would have been 18!! Wow! Mom says she keeps seeing me out of the corner of her eye...she turns and there is Sagan the Cats walking into the room...but for one second, she thinks it's me. I pop in here every day to visit my family...I am their guardian angel and I want to make sure everyone is going to be OK....so, they are just seeing me walk next to Slim Sagan....he was my favorite guy.
OK, well, I am going to get ^Bill^ and ^Ginger^ and our posse of friends here at the Bridge to have a big party in the Catnip field!!!!! Woohoo! Thank you Catster HQ for the honor!!
Love,
Anne

My typist has been shying away from Catster a bit since I left. She is really missing me. So, this diary entry is late....
There are not enough words to thank all of my wonderful friends for the love and support that you have given me and my family during my time here on Catster and since I left. All of the wonderful Rosettes and loving words...well, what is there to say. You have given Mom and the whole family the strength to get through my loss. Our home is missing an key member of the family....everyone keeps expecting to see me around the corner, in Mom and Dad's room on my bed, in the potty, sitting in the window looking at the birds and squirrels. Everyone is sad that I am not here, but know that my passing, after a long and wonderfully spoiled life, so there is also a sense of peace. Thank you for being here for me and for my family...we are greatful beyond words and feel very blessed to have you as friends.
I love you all,
^Anne^ and the whole family

Anne is now an angel. We planned to help her to the bridge on Christmas eve...we just couldn't do it. She was comfortable and not in pain, so Mom called the vet to reschedule for Saturday at 2 pm PST. Christmas was good...I (Sagan) didn't move from her side, where I had been for the last week. I cleaned her and purred to her. This morning (Saturday), Anne was so weak she could barely stand. As the morning moved on, she couldn't walk at all. Mom and Dad couldn't stand it, so called the vet and said we were heading in. She still wasn't in pain, just so weak and confused. Mom and Dad got to the vet and snuggled and cuddled with her. She let Mom hold her and didn't wiggle to get down like she always did. She was ready...we all were. Her passing was very peaceful. Mom and Dad were holding her and telling her how much they loved her, how blessed they were to have her with us for so many years. They told her she was their gift. Then she went to sleep, surrounded by love. Mom and Dad could feel all of her angel family and friends in the room waiting to greet here with open paws. The love from everyone on Catster helped so much. All the purs and love....there are no words.
The house seems so strange without her. We will adjust, but 18 years, shy six weeks, with her wonderful self...well, we have all been spoiled. Anne has been our girl for almost all of our adult lives, so it is going to be a huge adjustment. Who is going to sleep with us? Who is going to be our potty pal? We love you Anne, dear heart, an Angel in life and now an angel in heaven...we will will miss you with everything we have.
Thank you all, dear friends, for the love and support you have shown all of us. We couldn't ask for better friends.
Love,
Susie (Mom), Sagan, Anne and the whole family

Hi friends,
I have been away for a while with so many things going on. I wanted to give my friends an update on me. As you know, I started taking valium with my other meds to help control the seizure monster. It seemed to help for a while, but I am still having seizures. I now pee (along with the other yucky body function) when I am having the seizures...which happen every day. For a couple of weeks now, Mom and Dad have noticed that my health has declined and my quality of life seems to be getting much worse by the day. They think I just look miserable. I seem to be confused when I get up and walk around. This is breaking Mom and Dad's hearts. I am still eating, but Daddy must hand feed me several times a day. I am still purring when they rub me (I love a good chin scratch). But, Mom and Dad think it's time. Maybe it's my kidneys or just being old...not sure why the sudden decline, since my blood work looked good three weeks ago. So, the family is preparing for the worse. Now, Christmas week is the worse week for this to happen, but my comfort is the most important thing, so they will watch me tomorrow and decide.
I am the luckiest cat ever. I am six weeks from being 18 years old. No one ever expected me to live this long...ever. I have outlived Bill and Ginger, which is amazing. I have no regrets and am just savoring each day with my family. Please keep up the purrs for me and send some extra purrs for my family. Sagan and Mom will keep all of you updated.
I love you all!
Anne

We lost our dear friend Navin R. Johnson-Davis today. It was unexpected and it is devastating. There aren't enough words to say what he meant to so many people. He was wonderful, he was an inspiration, he was the mighty coug in magic pants. He was one of a kind and no one will ever be able to replace him. How do you sum up a mighty spirit who touched and inspired everyone he met, so deeply? There are no words. Our hearts are breaking for his family. We will be praying and purring for them.
We know that he is now running with his friends on the Rainbow Bridge, one more shining star in the sky. We are happy that he was completely spoiled every single day of his life on Earth by his parents. What more could a coug ask for?
He will be dearly missed. We love you Navin R. Johnson-Davis.

Well, at least it will be in a couple of hours...and if you are reading this and it's Friday...well, then it is my birthday!
I am such a lucky cat. I have a wonderful family (the little humans are questionable) and a great life. Now, I have all these friends on Catster. I am taking new meds and feeling so much better, I just can't tell you. Very few fainting spells now! Yay, even I was starting to get really worried. So, I am 15, and have had the best life a girl could ask for!
I am not nearly as witting as my brother Sagan, but my diary entry has heart!! MOL! OK, his do too...
You guys are great!
Love,
Anne (Ann with an e)

Hi everyone,
I was feeling on top of the moon earlier and now my heart is breaking. We heard that two of our dear friends are crossing the rainbow bridge. Our friend Samoa said it beautifully when she said that the bridge will be shining brightly tonight with those two wonderful souls, but my heart is breaking. I feel blessed to have known both of you lovely ladies. Headbutts and rubs to both of your families.
Love,
Anne
