Arrival Story:
At that time I was helping out at a Vet ( I am a trained professional groomer!) and a Vet Tech there came into my shop to tell me that they had just had 4 kittens arrive and that I should take a look at them. She knew I was a suck for animals and at that time I only had 3 other cats. (A LONG TIME AGO ;-) so I went and looked at them and there was only 1 that seemed friendly enough to be adopted anyways. That one was Diesel! The name was pretty obvious from the beginning because as soon as anybody would look at him and talk to him he would start his engine and would not stop for several minutes! He just loved to purr! That is the story about how we got to be guardians of Diesel.

Bio:
Diesel was an amazing cat. He was the longest and leanest cat that I had seen until then. Just a beauty. Sadly he was also a very slow moving and lazy cat. We knew that he would cross the road on occasion and we were not happy about it, but being that our driveway is THAT long and so far away from the road ( a side road I must add) we were hoping that he would stay home more often then cross the road. One day though (we had been out somewhere, which happens very rarely) when we came back there was a message on our answering machine from a neighbour who always goes out 4-Wheeling on our road. He told us that he was really sorry but Diesel ran in front of his 4-wheeler crossing the road to come back home and that was when the neighbour hit Diesel. All we knew was that he was dead. The neighbour had put him in a bag and put him next to our mailbox! We had Diesel cremated the following day. We still miss him very much. He was such a unique and loving cat with lots of personality! Rest in peace, Diesel and we hope you are hanging out on a cloud and are watching over us down here! Love, Mom and Dad
