Arrival Story: My mummy wanted a kitten so after phoning around she got the address of a lady who said she had 2 so she went along to see them. When she got there the woman showed her into her kitchen and opened the cupboard under the sink and there amongst the cleaning things were 2 of the smallest kittens she'd ever seen a little black and white boy (me) and a grey girl. The lady told her that we were eating on our own and were old enough to leave our mum so she picked us both up and took us home quick. Later that day at the vets mummy was told that we were only about 2 and half to 3 weeks old and we were very sick. Sadly 3 weeks later my sister who mummy had named Chloe died in her sleep, A few days after she died mummy got a call from the lady she got me from asking for us back and it turns out that my kitty mummy was a pedigree persian but we weren't so they had taken the 2 that couldn't pass as persian and seperated us from our brothers and sisters and kept us in the cupboard and it was lucky mummy came when she did because our real mummy had stopped feeding us because we wern't with our siblings. Sadly all the other kittens had died (so i'm the only one who survived) and she wanted us back to sell, Mummy had a few choice words for her and told her exactly where to go!
Bio: I've been diagnosed with spinal spondylosis which means extra bits of bone are growing on my spine and fusing to other bits ( i think that makes sense!) as theres no cure and no treatment except painkiller it means I just have to learn to live with it, but hey it could be worse !

The Last Forum I Posted In: I was just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism...
I've Been On Catster Since:
Another day another problem....mum had me back to that V.E.T place a few days ago and she told the vet i was losing weight and drinking a lot....my weight has been up and down for a while now...so thanks to mum not keeping her mouth closed i had to have some blood taken!!
They did a test for my kidneys...mums not sure what exactly but the vet said it was ok as there was only 2 lines on it..whatever that ment!
Then the other test was sent away ...and yes of course the result was positive i now officially have hyperthyroidism ...as well as everything else!
Its a good job i'm a brave kitty!
I've been on my new pills for almost a week now and i seem to be ok on them, i go back to THAT place in just over 2 weeks but hopefully i'll be ok for a while.
Mum already thinks i feel slightly heavier when she picks me up...she's just not sure if its wishfull thinking!
So....whats happened since my last entry..well not much MOL
i'm still having all my regular check ups and on the same medication, and i still DON'T like the V.E.T!
I don't have a decent sleep anymore because mum keeps waking me up, she says i sleep too soundly and it worries her ...i'm asleep woman!!!!
My legs are starting to get effected by my spondylosis and mum doesn't know how long it will be untill i get really bad, right now im still having more good days than bad days, and i can still chase my sisters around just not as much as i used to.
Ohh well mum says its tablet time again..so i better give my paws a rest.
xxxxx
So much has happened since my last diary entry,
My little sister Missy crossed over to the bridge and we all miss her so much, it was very sudden and there was no warning and thankfully it was very quick, mum had her cremated and we now have her back home with us where she belongs but its not the same.........
I was doing really well on my medication and i started to put on some
weight and things were looking up but...
just a few weeks ago i took a turn for the worse, it was a saturday morning and i was runnng around being my usual playfull self when then i just stopped, i couldn't hold up my head and i just layed down and couldn't move, Mum and Dad rushed me straight to the vet which lucily is just a few minutes away,
I had a blocked bladder and it was touch and go for a little while but i'm
a fighter and i made it ...
i was in the vets for 3 days (luckily they let mum and dad visit me ) and was on a drip and had a catheter fitted , at first the vet thought it was caused by crystals but now they're not so sure they think it was an infection that made my bladder clamp closed so hopefully it won't happen again but mum has to
keep a close eye on me and make sure I wee..a lot!!!
So now i'm starting to get back to my old self, my front legs still have bald
patches where the drips went in but Hey i'm a handsome boy, bald can be cute too!!
Mums got really paranoid and she follows me around and everytime i go into a deep sleep she wakes me up...which is making really grumpy.....i mean come on a kitty needs his sleep!!
