Live at Crooked Gate Farm

The official count is in!

The vet looked at my kittens today and announced we have 3 boys and only 1 girl. Their final names are Hermes, Ares, Apollo and Artemis. All are healthy except ear mites and they will get some medicine for that, me as well. I am at the vet as we speak getting spaye- they let me use their computer while I waited. I wasn't happy but went without a fight.

I had kittens!

This is at least my third litter. I live in a rural area on a farm. My other kittens didn't make it. When the new people moved in I had some kittens in the barn but something got to them when they were only 3 days old so this time the set me up a swell spread in their basement.
I love my new name. Persephone, but I answer to Sephe. I love the lady who gave me the name and all the tasty food and all the nice petting. I am slowly getting used to the rest of the family.
Of course, when I had my kittens I didn't use anything they set up for me and had them in a hole in the ceiling. It goes back really far and is quiet and dark. I hear talk that they will be going in to take the kittens out in a couple of days if I don't do it myself. I think it is kind of funny watching them climb on tip toes and a ladder with a flashlight trying to get a look.
They can see that I am an excellent mother. I have at least 3 kittens. Two white with orange like me and an orange tabby. They are already busy kitties, moving around and meowing. I am happy to know that my kittens will be staying here on the farm with me also, that we will be getting fixed so no more danger with more kittens.
