Arrival Story:
Madeira came from an overfilled rescue and believe it or not, the volunteer working for the rescue was kind enough to bring her half way while visiting relatives for christmas. The only misterious thing about it all was that I never recieved her paperwork later on, even though I had contacted that woman numerous times. It turned out shorty after I had Madeira that she was a very messy cat and we needed to try out several different types of litter to find the right one that she liked. She acted like a princess. She hated the wintertime because that ment for her that she could not spend most of the day outside because it was way too cold.

Bio:
It was about 2 months ago that we had to report her missing. We looked everywhere but sadly things like that have happen before. We do live out in the wilderness and we do have Coyotes and Wolves around us. Even though we have a REALLY LONG driveway we have lost 2 cats in the past on the road. Both cats were known to cross the road on ocasion. My huband and I rather have the cats live indoors with outdoor access then just entirely lock them up inside. Most of the cats we adopted permanently have been stray outdoor cats and to look them out would be cruel. (we actually did lock them up in the beginning, but they did not stop crying and scratching at the windows. We had troubles open windows because they would try and ruin the screens just so they could get outdoors) It is so amazing to watch our cats play outside with each other and with butterflies...to watch them catch mice and birds (sorry about that but that is what cats do!) At least they had a good live even though we think about the ones we have lost every day and wish them well in kitty heaven. Most of them had been strays that nobody was interested in giving a second chance. We get all our animals spayed and neutered and vetted! It is so great to be able to give them lots of attention and love. They get brushed regulary and get the best food available (All Natural) Performatrin ULTRA and we feed them RAW 2x day; they love it!!!!
