But mommy assures me that's a positive thing! MOL!!
You see, Tessie and I were living with Tommy for a year and a half, but he went to the Rainbow Bridge last month because his FeLV got really bad. :( Mommy decided she should get me and Tessie tested for FeLV just to make sure we don't have it. We were vaccinated for FeLV before Tommy came to live with us, but she wanted to make sure we were negative because Tommy will probably decide we need a kitten someday.
Anyway, I went to our new vet, Dr. Wilson, on Thursday. She took some of my blood and 10 minutes later she told mommy I was negative! Yay!!! AND she said I was a good boy the whole time! She LIKED me! She really LIKED me!!!
Next is Tessie's turn! And if she's negative, then mommy can't use that excuse anymore as to why she can't have a new kitten. ;)

Tucker

Please read the following diary entry from our furriend, Stevie:
Today I'm writing for our ever-growing cat family! We learned that we will be getting a new brofur!! He's blind like ME! His name is Bones, and he's coming from a high-kill shelter in SC. I was in a high kill shelter, too, and trust me, they are NO FUN! Some wonderful furriends and CCLs - like Meowmy - are going to rescue Bones then transport him to us!! We sure love blind cats in our house!
It snowed today but Meowmy says there are a few stars peeking through the clouds. She says if I make a wish, it might come true. I'm going to make TWO wishes! And YOU can help them come true!!!
Wish #1:
Many of you have read the heartbreaking story of my sisfur Eve. I never got to meet Eve, due to the neglect she suffered at Okefenokee Humane Society in Waycross, GA (Ware Co.) Meowmy and Eve's to-be adoptive Mommy Terry, along with their friends, are asking everyone to write snail mails or emails to the folks on the list below. Be polite but ask for an investigation into the conditions at OHS. So far, we have had only one noncommittal reply. You can read my back diary entries for that actual letter. If enough of us write and express our concern for the animals still there, surely someone will listen to us. Please help us bring Justice for Eve!!

Wish #2:
Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight...I wish I may...I wish I might...find justice for my friend Muppet and the FLOCK cats.
http://www.catster.com/cats/624959 - Muppet's page
Muppet is my furriend, and she's a survivor, like me. She was at a huge cat 'rescue' called FLOCK. These cats were left to starve and several hundred did not make it. Muppet was critical but she was so strong and fought so hard to live! And she did! Best Friends Rescue took over and thanks to hard workers like Muppet's wonderful furever mommy and others, the surviving cats had a chance for happy, healthy lives.
Unfortunately, the case against the bad people who ran FLOCK was DISMISSED!!!! I'm going to quote now from Muppet's diary:
"...And on this note, and the main reason for my diary entry, we are asking all of our Catster friends to please write a letter to our District Attorney, Bob Beckett, letting him know how outraged every animal lover is that his office failed to properly see that there was justice for Flock. Although he has filed an appeal, we want Bob Beckett to know just how many eyes are upon him and how he better not let his office mess it up this time! Meomy was told that this case was ‘purposely hidden so the outcome would be a dismissal.’ And in today’s paper it states, “Beckett’s notice of appeal was filed yesterday. Gibson (General Council for FLOCK) said that surprised him because he and Beckett had struck a deal that the case would go no further.” Struck a deal? Humph!!
If everyone who cares about this case could please write a 'snail mail' letter to Bob Beckett, it could really help this case a lot. We need a flood of mail to come in. And thank you to everyone who already have sent letters! *grateful hugs*"
Mr. Robert Beckett
District Attorney, Nye County
1520 E Basin Ave
Pahrump, NV 89060
I'm just a blind cat in GA, saved from death row, but I speak for so many when I beg you to write to DA Beckett and to those with authority over Okefenokee Humane Society. Sadly, neglect and abuse of helpless animals happens every day. Usually there isn't much we can do. Here is the chance for caring, truly HUMANE people like my Meowmy and Muppet's Mommy to join your voices together and take action! Write DA Beckett, please. Write or email those in Ware County who can help the poor animals still at OHS.
You CAN make a real difference! They may ignore a few of us, but they cannot ignore us ALL.
Bless you for caring! Thank you so very much, HQ, for giving us the opportunity to inform Catsters and Dogsters about these heartbreaking cases. We love Catster!!!

Majik is one of today's DDP's! I am copying her diary entry here because it contains some valuable information about how you and your pawrents can help Eve! (If you are not familiar with Eve's story, please see my angel sister Tabby's diary!)
We finally got the emails of the board members of the Okefenokee Humane Society!! These are the people who have control over the animals, like Eve, waiting there for forever homes. I'm also posting the county commissioners emails as they control funding for OHS.
Please!! Take a moment and email them, asking for an investigation of the circumstances surrounding Eve's malnutrition, spaying and death. Be polite but firm. Let them know we are also writing the state agriculture department. Eve's death should matter, and we are the ones who can see that it has meaning and importance. Bless you!!!!

I was just reading my furriend Winnie's diary. I couldn't help but comment on it because MY Mommy has been doing the same exact thing! She left this morning for a while, then she came home and was all sweaty and smelly! And she's been drinking a LOT of water!
Winnie's mom has been acting like this too, and NOW I find out that Sunny's mom is also acting strange! Can anykitty explain this? What should I do??
I always said, humans should come with instruction manuals ...

Tucker

My dearest Tucker,
When I brought you home, I didn't know how to love you. What I mean is, I had Tabby. How could I possibly love another cat as much as I loved her, without taking any of my love away from her? Well, you sure showed me. You have shown me that I have an infinite amount of love in my heart for as many kitties that I bring into my home.
I always say that you are the love of my life. That is not just something that I say - I truly mean it. I love the way you connect to me with your gorgeous green eyes. I really feel like you are communicating with me when you do "blinkies" with me. I love you more than any other living being, and I really do not know what I will do when you are no longer with me. But that won't be for a very long time.
You are not a cuddler by any means, but you show your affection in your own ways. Even when you're across the room, sometimes I catch you gazing at me. When you feel like it, you will lay next to me, purring. Or out of the blue, you'll come and start rubbing your face on my arm, and then do it over and over until something else catches your attention. Or if you're really in the mood to demand attention, you will jump on my lap and start kneading me. Of course I drop whatever it is I am doing to give all my attention to you. I will always remember the day you were neutered. You were SO loopy from all the medication! You let me hold you and cuddle with you as if you were a baby. I probably won't get that chance again for a while, so I will always remember that.
Sometimes it feels like I am the only person in the world that understands you. Of course I understand you! I'm your Mommy! Like the time your old vet told me you were aggressive. I knew you weren't really aggressive - you were just scared. Scared that I left you there and wasn't going to come back. Scared of the people that you didn't know. Don't worry, my boy - I will never take you there again and I am so sorry that I did.
I love the way you have bonded with your siblings. First Tabby, then Tessie, and now little Tommy. I also love the way that even though you are best buddies with Tommy now, that you still love Tessie enough to groom her and cuddle with her. You see, sweetie - I am not the only one that can love more than one.
I am writing this today because you turned 4 years old today! When did you turn into such a handsome adult? How did I miss it? When I look at you, why do I still see the kitten that I brought home? I am so happy that you are still as active as a kitten. Please promise me that it will be that way for a long time. Please promise me that you will always love me, and trust me to make the best decisions for you.
I love you. You are my heart ... my love ... my Tucker.
Love,
Mommy This is a special Tail of Devotion

Today I turn 4 years old! Mommy can hardly believe it! She says it seems like yesterday that she brought me home as a kitten. I was SO cute! Mommy keeps saying that she doesn't know when I turned into such a handsome adult cat. Silly Mommy! She was here the whole time! I worry about her sometimes.
Anyway, thank you to the kitties who have sent me birthday rosies, gifts, and pmails! And a big thanks to my beautiful wife, Bella, who sent me a catnip hairball! That thing is pawsome!! :)
Birthday purrs,
Tucker

Muppet was rescued from a hoarder called FLOCK by her Mommy and Best Friends Animal Society. She has the BEST home now, but she needs to have surgery on her ears so that she isn't in pain from ear infections anymore. The only thing is, the surgery is really expensive and her Mommy doesn't have enough money to pay for it herself.
Thanks to Hazel Lucy, we have a Catster HQ Approved group where we can go to find out how we can add "bucks" to Muppet's Bucket, so she can have the surgery that will save her life! In addition, Winnie and Chester's Mommy will MATCH donations up to $1000 between now and Wednesday. So whatever you can donate, even if it's just a few dollars, Muppet will get TWICE that amount for her much needed surgery!
Please check out the Muppet's Bucket group here!
Love,
Tucker

Well, maybe I spoke too soon. It WAS all going well, until the VET put that silly potion in my nose. Then all of a sudden ... I was an iguana! Well, at least this way I will be safe on Thanksgiving!
Everyone said I was a very good boy! I wasn't "aggressive" at all! And the vet said I looked great! Yeah, until he turned me into ... well, you know. He did recommend that I be tested for FeLV in about 3 months. Mommy says that even if Tessie or I test positive for that bug, that nothing will change. We might get to go to Dr. Nan, though. I wonder if she'll kiss my tummy??

Tucker

Mommy is taking me to the vet this morning for my check up and vaccines. **hides behind Tommy, then realizes he is 3x Tommy's size** After seeing what my brother and sister looked like when they came home, I don't know what will happen to me! But I'm already a turkey, so it can't get much worse, right?

Tommy has to go to the vet! He's my new baby brother, and I love the little guy. I really do! But I'm glad Mommy furgot to take me to the vet and that she's taking HIM instead! He's not sick, but Mommy says he needs to go get his shots and make sure he's doing as well as she thinks he is. I also hear that a pocket picking is in his future ... hehehehehehe!
In other news, I am a turkey ...
Gobble gobble!
