My friend Spike tagged me to tell 5 things about myself. Here goes!
1* I know a lot of tricks. I can sit, come, and stand on my back legs on command.
2* If I'm really happy about something, I drool when I purr.
3* I sit on my mommy's shoulders while she's working at her computer. It's one of my favorite nap spots!
4* Dog food is one of my favorite treats!
5* I love going for car rides. I have a cozy travel bag and sometimes nap in it at home.

Ok, ok. People always ask my mommy & daddy why they named me Circuit so I'll explain it to you. When I first came to live with my family I had some patches of no hair on my body and the hair that I did have was long in some places and short in some so, I'll admit, I looked a bit funny. Mommy said it looked like I'd been electrocuted (but of course I hadn't, I just had that crazy hair look). To add to my *uh, hum* eclectic look I always walk with my tail straight up. Daddy said it looked like I had an antenna instead of a tail. Daddy works on computers and has all sorts of electronic stuff that I loved to nap on and play in so my parents decided that I needed some sort of "techy" name and one day Daddy caught me chewing on some wires so he decided that Circuit was the best name for me. And that's how I got my name. I like it, it's unique and that fits me just fine. So now you all know how I got my unusual name. Hope you liked the story!

Our beloved old dog Star is enjoying her last night with us. Tomorrow she will be smiling down on us from the Rainbow Bridge. We will all miss her terribly and love her always.

Wow! My first diary entry and I got picked for the Daily Cat Diary! Whoo-hoo! I'm so excited. Thanks to all of you who read my entry! And in case you were wondering, those loud strangers were out early this morning banging on Mommy's bedroom wall! What a rude awakening! Anyway, thanks again to everyone for reading my diary.
Jumping for joy,
Circuit

Hey everyone,
This is my first diary entry and I'm just so upset I've got to tell someone!
My mommy & daddy live in a very nice, quiet apartment complex. (well, it's not very quiet and peaceful in here when Austin & I get to running around!) For the past couple of days though there have been lots of noises and strange voices all around our house. My mommy has been sick so she is home from work and the noises scared her too. We went out onto our patio and we could hear people talking up on our roof! I wonder how they got up there? Well my mommy didn't know what was going on so she called the apartment office and they told Mommy that the guys up on our roof were workers who were fixing the broken sides of the buildings. Mommy asked why she wasn't told about this ahead of time and no one could give her an answer. So Mommy asked if they were only going to be working on the roofs and not on our balcony and the office lady told her yes, only the roof. Those guys sure are loud walking around up there! It makes is hard for Mommy to get the rest Daddy says she needs and Austin, Koko, & Star are all scared of the noises, but not me. I want to see what's going on up there. I've been sitting in the window because I can see people on the roofs of the buildings next to us and it's fun to watch them. Or it was until I saw them climbing onto our balcony! I saw a man moving Mommy's plants around so he could crawl over our banister so I started meowing really loud at him. Mommy doesn't like us playing in her plants so I was trying to tell that guy not to play with them or Mommy will get mad. He didn't hear me very well so I went out through our kitty door to tell him up close. I sure was surprised (and a little scared, I'll admit) to see 2 strangers on our balcony moving all our furniture & plants around. I ran back into the house and ran to Mommy and started meowing. She got up and went to see what I was talking about and saw the strangers on our balcony. She told me that I was a very good watchdog and gave me a treat! Mom says the strangers are the workers we heard up on our roof and that they were patching holes in the wall on our balcony. Those guys have been out there for a couple of days now. We don't hear them on our roof anymore but I can still see them on the other roofs. Austin isn't scared anymore so he's been watching them with me from the window. I sure hope things get back to normal around here soon.
