Arrival Story:
Odinn showed up about 3 years ago. Mamma kitty was living out back at that time - and I guess Odinn thought he'd horn in on her good fortune. He would come racing out of the woods and attack your legs - whether you had on pants or shorts - ouch! After a time he hung out more and more. Potty marking everything possible - even me one time! I was so shocked all I could do was sit there. We were unsure if he had a home somewhere or not. He always looked healthy, except for a problem with his left eye. The pupil is always dilated.

Last spring we decided that Odinn had chosen to stay with us. He is now a retired gentleman. He is very affectionate towards me. He does have his attack moments - I say he is feeling spunky. When he is spunky-watch out! Lucy has born the brunt of this more than once and keeps her distance when he starts fluffing out.

Mom says i don't have the good sense to get in out of the rain...well...i guess she's right. *shrug* With all my good thick furs it takes alot of water to soak me to the skin..although *ahem* that HAS happened once or twice here lately. Tonite mom was sitting in her chair, poking around on the innerwebs and heard the rain. She thought...surely odinn has gone inside now? Nope. Why should i? If i stay on the back porch she will come and get me. heehee! Then i get to take the shortcut! Thru the house, and a nice snuggle on the way downstairs, and more often then not a nice double dipping of treats! Oh if Maxwell and Zoe knew they would be SO JEALOUS!!! Only bad thing is then Mamma gets treats too.

I guess Mamma kitty isn't so bad anymore...think she's getting old! As long as i stay out of her space, she stays out of mine. And that is just fine. I have to admit, it IS nicer being indoors at night now. It has gotten chilly and a nice warm blanket sure is comfy...

It's raining again...yup. And mom just now figured out why i am so busy marking marking marking all over the place when we are doing our perimeter check. MOL! Come on mom! The rain keeps washing it away so i HAVE to redo it! I must be vigilant or else some stranger may show up and try to move in on my territory! This is MY HOUSE! MY YARD! MY MOM! I do NOT want to share her with anyone else. I am putting up signs on all the trees and bushes... "Odinn Lives Here. Go Away." So far so good. No interlopers.

I was having a sit down in the driveway the other day, waiting for mom and lucy to come home from visiting the doggetts up the road from us. Suddenly, down came this dark leaf....and then it landed on the driveway and started moving....hmmmm, curious, there was not enough wind....
So, i crept up carefully to inspect this leaf....then carefully reached out one giant paw to touch it. It MOVED! It had WINGS!!! Ahhh, a butterfly. So i settled down in classic kitty loaf position to give the delicate beauty some protection from the birds (yesssss, pretty birds, tassssty birds....). It was very difficult to hear at first. The butterfly was singing softly, a song of warm sunshine, gentle breezes, pretty flowers swaying in the breezes, sweet nectar, resting when the sun goes down in a green bower.....Such a peaceful life she has..... Iwant to be a butterfly too.....then I could fly to the summerlands and be with my sweet lady Skully.....and her songs would be my songs.....
