Arrival Story:
Our granddaughter called and begged us to rescue a kitten so we agreed, not realizing that she was only 2 days old. However, since we had rescued many others of that size, we just broke out the bottles and started feeding her. We filled an old sock with uncooked rice and heated it in the microwave so she had a soft body to sleep against and keep her warm. We were determined to find her a home but by the time she opened her eyes and started toddling around the house, she had found a home......with us.
Bio:
Pixie is all kitten, even though she is nearly 9 months old now. Her full name is Calico Skys Primrose Pixie Dusted Strawberry Fields. She is the baby of our cats and must submit to all of them, especially Firefly who has had some difficulty accepting her and often hisses at her or smacks. Pixie continues to make up to her though and is slowly but surely winning her over. Selkie loves her and washes her thouroughly every day. Shamus also loves her and spends a lot of time rough-housing with her but at times gets tired of her kitten ways.
