Arrival Story:
My beloved Skweekr passed away two years ago, and I (and my husband) felt it was time for a new pet. We decided it would be best to have two, so they wouldn't feel lonely. I also really wanted Siamese, since that's what I have had almost all of my life. Ideally, I wanted kittens (but, older siblings, or older playmates would have been just fine). Several weeks ago, on petfinder.com, I came across Yanni (and his sister Yuki) from a rescue organization called Classy Cats. I thought they were both gorgeous, and exactly what I was looking for and put in an application. While several people were interested in them, my husband and I were chosen because we were willing to put time into these kitties that weren't as friendly as other kittens normally are (on account of them being found outside).

Yanni (and Yuki) were found roaming around an apartment complex when they were 2 months old. They were trapped, but so wild that they had to be handled with gloves; and because they were so wild, the rescuers believed they might have to put these cats down. However, some foster parents stepped in and decided to attempt to put the time in to help these kitties. Apparently it worked enough so that they put these two lovelies up for adoption. (Yuki and Yanni's mother was rescued one month later, and they do believe she is purebred -- what they don't know is if she was pregnant when she got loose, or if she became pregnant after. So while we don't know that Yuki and Yanni are really purebred, they look enough like it so that we believe they are. =^_^=)
