Arrival Story:
I found Ziggy as a stray a few years ago. He was hiding under my neighbor's porch meowing very loudly. He wanted my attention so badly but he wouldn't let me get too close. He was very skinny and he had lost almost all of his hair. He looked like he was going to die at any moment. I finally was able to feed him some of my macaroni and cheese and he ate it very fast. During the next few weeks he grew back to a healthy weight, and all of his hair grew back and he became a beautiful cat. He is still very skiddish to this day but he has come a long way. He is a very sweet cat, and he is very silly!

Bio:
Ziggy's name came from how he acted when I first found him. Once he became more used to me, I was the only person he would let approach him. He would follow me everywhere and he always had to be very close to me. If I walked around the yard he did zig-zags between my feet, so I named him Ziggy. He is a goofy cat- he plays and chases things that aren't there, he bobbs his head like a bird, stares at the sky when it rains, and he makes facial expressions! He gives me dirty looks and he turns away from me and pouts if he hears me making jokes about his goofy ways. He ignores me and won't respond to me but after a few minutes he gets over it and wants petted again. Ziggy was diagnosed with FIV on 3-13-07, but we have been reassured that he can still lead a long healthy life; we just have to give him some special care :)
