WHERE IS THE CARPET!?!

I'm back. It's taken me forever to get the computer away from momma but that's okay. She usually lets me sit on her lap when she's got the l'top on it... I call it the "lap-heater."

Anyway, after months of being separated into the downstairs of the house, it looks like we (my brother and I) will be able to roam the house again... of course, momma and daddy now have WOOD floors up there! WHERE is the carpet? I don't get WHY anycat would pull up perfectly good carpet... I've expressed my concerns to momma and she just says I will have to wear booties. I suppose as long as they are pink.... maybe I wear them. Has anycat had to deal with this??

On one other little note, I see that my dear friend ZERO hasn't returned to Catster. I sure miss his entries.

Noise!

Okay, I know I have some big ears... hey, I'm a Devon... that's life. But you would think momma and daddy would take this into consideration while the 'struction is going on! Maybe some earmuffs? It is so loud with all of the be banging around... I usually wait for momma to come downstairs and then I go to my usual spot on her lap = safe! Now Akka wants to get in on the action... I guess I'll let him in tomorrow. We're not real keen on that 4th of July thing... ears! Thankfully, momma said she'll sit with us and make sure we are safe. She said we might even get to watch "Independance Day"... one of Akka's favorite. He gets all hopped up with those action flicks are on. I don't know why but he digs it. I'm personally a "Princess Dairys" kind of girl.

'nuf of that. Gotta grab a nap before the noise starts again. I hope everycat has a safe 4th of July!!!

Momma's finally back!!!

YES!!! She's finally back. I can't quite figure out how long she was gone but it felt like forever... (momma input, 5 days)

Daddy did pretty well with us but Momma is the can-killer and the blanket-user. Daddy wouldn't let me sit between his legs while he was reading, he never uses a blanket like momma, and he barely killed cans... something about me having a tummy?!?! Whatever. MOMMA IS BACK! She and daddy even went to the 'good' store and got me new toys. Okay, they said they were for me AND Akka but I think momma secretly got them for me. She knows how I love anything with feathers.

This cat is breathing much easier with her here. Next time I will try to send daddy to travel for business! Momma must stay!

P.S. I think Akka LOVED that we had all Daddy time. He's such a daddy's boy. (I'm SO telling momma!!!!!!)

I'm off the 'stuff'!

Last night was my final night of pain meds... momma said today might be a little tough for me since I'm going 'cold turkey' off the pain meds... all I could think of was "there's going to be TURKEY?!?!?.... where?!?!?" yeah, just as I thought, there was no turkey.

I am a little pissy this morning but I think it's because I heard momma and daddy saying that Akka needs to get more food and mine needs to be reduced... that I'm getting *pause for dramtic purposes*....chubby! (yikes!)

What is happening here?? First, the pain meds... NOW my food?!? What's next, only Akka get's to sit by the heater? THAT better not happen. I might be small but I think I can take him. And he better not think he's going to get momma's lap now. THAT is MY spot! Maybe I need to mark my territory better... I don't want to do it but if I have to... I'll peepee on momma just to make sure everyone knows she's mine... I'm not afriad (!)... and then maybe that will show momma not to even think about reducing my food!

...more 'struction...

Momma and daddy went to see some hooman who is 'posta help sell our house. I asked momma where we are going but she just keeps telling me, "we'll have to wait and see..." what does that mean? This cat is concerned... will my heater be 'there'? What about FEAST? What if they don't sell it 'there'? And then there is Akka... is he coming with us? 'Cause, I can think of some pretty big pros and cons on that one. I guess it will be fine as long as those 'struction people keep it down while they put in the kitchen.

Cross your paws that we end up somewhere warm where FEAST grow from trees!!

Cat meds...

I'm back minus some teeth. It wasn't so bad... well maybe I don't remember much. I know momma and daddy dropped me off and then momma came to get me... that's about it. The FEAST is almost worth the teeth... but the pain meds... those are definitely worth it!!! Have you cats tried this?!? Twice a day momma holds me while daddy tries to shove something in my mouth... but after that... I get to see floating pink mice to chase and am in LOVE with rubbing my face on the carpet! It's pawsome! Momma says that while it's cute and needed... she will be happy when I'm done with the meds - I guess I will too....

But for now...momma says I should enjoy the ride for now.

You're doing WHAT?!?!?!?

Today momma and daddy told me that I'm going to the kitty dentist and he is going to TAKE MY TEETH OUT!!! Okay, not all of them but some!!! I told momma that I need my teeth. How am I supposed to bite Akka? Momma said the kitty dentist is only going to take out my top incisors because they are all loose and will cause me problems (like Akka's did).

Akka had to have 14, count them, F-O-U-R-T-E-E-N teeth! I don't know if I have that many... but momma says I do and after my recovery I will hardly notice they are gone... I dunno about this. BUT, Akka did tell me that I will get LOTS of my favorite... fancy feast for going thru this.

I can do just about anything for fancy feast! =) Keep those paws crossed for me kitties... when I get back, you can just call me FANG! HAHAHAHAHA!

Ummm, what's a migraine?

I woke up today thinking it was like any other Sunday... it's Washington State so it's a 50/50 on the whole rain thing during Spring... it's raining today. Anyway, usually this is a good thing because momma isn't a 'big room' person (Akka - my brother) says momma and daddy call the big room "outdoors" but whatever. I'm certain it's just another room I'm not supposed to get into.

Back to my day, so I figured momma would wake up, provide the food, then curl up and do her usual rainy day routine (caffeinated drink, hooman kibble, watch some TV, pet me for a few hours while looking on the website). WELL, today momma woke up, came down, didn't even turn on the lights, tuned on the TV very low... I started to meow my good mornings to her and she asked me not to MEOW! I'm a very talkative girl... and she asked me not to meow?? Well, I told Akka that I needed to try to get daddy down up to ask him if momma was sick. So I made a huge effort at the door, we're talking the big meows not the usual little girl meows, and I even threw in a couple of door scratches because I figured this was an emergency! Akka just sat up in the tree and said momma probably has a 'migraine'. Has any other cat heard of this?? Akka said daddy told him about migraines (daddy gets them too - something that's rare I guess). Anyway, Akka now things he's this super-smart cat!

So I need some help here, I need to know how to make momma feel better. Akka thinks her is super cool... why did daddy tell him and not me? I'm smart! So what if he's bigger... I could take it. So now, I'm just trying to stay quiet (very hard!), and then sit with momma while she lays down.

All hints are welcome on how to cure momma!
