Arrival Story: The reason Socks's family wanted to put him and his siblings up for adoption was unknown to us. Mummy first saw Socks at her nephew's house. He was hoping to find Socks a new family before he leaves for his holidays. Mummy was toying with the idea of adopting Socks but the thought of Simba's possible reaction put mum off at first. A week went by and it was at the crunch-time whether Socks goes to a family or the Cat Shelter.....
Mum decided to adopt Socks on 1-1-07, fearing the worse....(Simba's reaction).
Socks has been with us for the last 13 days. Both Simba and him have their moments; the good: Simba grooming Socks; the quiet: ignoring each other; and the ugly: paw-fighting, wrestling and kicking.....
Hopefully, things will get better between the two.....
We are glad that Socks is one of our family members now. He adds lots of fun and laughter to our family.
Bio: Socks has great characters. He is very loving and enjoys a cuddle anytime. He's got an easy-going nature. He would step aside from his food-bowl if his big brother Simba decides to have a go at his food. He is very playful and loves playing with us, with the toys, even with his own tail!
He has a very soft voice and is usually not very vocal. The only time he cries is when he is left indoor while Simba is taken outdoor. He loves lounging on mum's bed room window-sill over-looking the flower bed. We guessed it's because that's the closest he could get to the bees and the moths and he is mesmerised by them.....
We love you....little one....

I've Been On Catster Since:
Um...It's been seven months & eight days since I was adopted by my family. Time flies, don't you reckon??
Mum weighed me today and realized that I'm no longer the 3 pounder kitty as I was first introduced at Catster!
I'm tipping the scale at 9.9 lbs. Yipee! I've also doubled my size in body-length.
Thank you Baxter, for getting my mum to re-check and update my vital statistic.....
G'day everyone....
It's almost a month since I'd joined the fabulous Catster ! During this brief period, I had befriended many wonderful kitties and doggies. I am eargerly awaiting to meet more friends and have lots of fun with you in the future......
I was merely one and a half kilos (3.3 lbs) when I first arrived at my new home a month ago, today, my scale tipped at two and a half kilos (5.5 lbs).
I love my human mummy, daddy, brother, sister & brother- in- law, but I love my fur-brother Simba the best! He's my sibling, my companion and my big toy! I simply love toying with him....I knew my playfulness upsets him frequently, but, guys....isn't that the prime-mission of a little brother ??
I love going out-door with mummy/brother and Simba, but I need to wear my harness and leash.....cos' I'm too quick and unpredictable......(so they claimed). There are lots of birds to look at, ants and insects to track down and yummy grass to munch.......I could stay out the entire day if only I could have my way......
All this typing is wearing me out.....gotta go for my nap-nap now.....
