Arrival Story:
George was adopted with his littermate Henry in 1988. Henry died in 2000 after 2 years of having diabetes and George was lonesome, so... Ernie was adopted from a shelter and he and George lived indoors happily until G. got senile and forgot what the litterbox is for and had to move outdoors, where he made friends with... Blacky, who was a neighborhood cat that someone abandoned. He lived on the porch across the street with their cat till it died, then poor B. was starving, so he adopted us! He is the friendliest cat I've ever known and he still goes around the neighborhood to visit everybody (and probably talks them into giving him treats)...but we love him the most. He has to stay outside cause he's a sprayer. Minou is the baby of the family. DH found her a couple of years ago where he works, under a dumpster where she was close to death. We brought her home intending to fatten her up and find her a nice family. She's still with us--and still getting bigger every day. I think her metabolism was destroyed from being so malnourished as a baby.

Bio:
All the boy cats get along surprisingly well. They even like some other neighborhood cats who come around to eat and hang out on the back patio. Toosie (Minou) is not real popular with the guys, maybe because her personal hygiene leaves something to be desired...

This is a really happy day for all of us--and our other cat-loving neighbors--cause Mom FINALLY trapped the Monster Cat who's been coming into our yard for about a year and picking fights with anyone who's around.

Each of us, except Erns who lives inside, has been to the vet once or twice with bites that have gotten infected...and all from this unneutered bullyboy.

Mom lured him into the cage with some crunchies, and this morning he went to the city pound, where we hope he will be fixed and find a family that will take care of him and make him want to behave. She also caught us in that cage, too (but only once each)...and she got a opossum one night, too!
