Ohhh, I was SOOO scared!

I'm a very shy kitty anyway, but yesterday I was soooo scared.

These two men came to our house. I've seen them before but I know that every time they come it's trouble. They like to pull out hammers and saws and a loud radio and make all kinds of noise stomping around. Well, as soon as I heard them at the door, I ran to my favorite hidey space under the basement stairs.

Well, wouldn't you know, they were making all their hammering and sawing and other loud noises right in the basement! No escape! I was trapped under those cold, dark stairs all day.

I only came out after they were gone for about an hour. I looked for my mommy who reassured me that they were all gone.

Sheesh! Can't a gal get any beauty rest around here?

There I was, just minding my own beeswax....

Lounging on the top tier of our blue cat tree like I do efurry morning, not a care in the world. Next thing I know... POUNCE! That bratty Perla popped up into the next tier down. Well, I tell, you, I got so scared, I jumped straight down to the floor from my perch with a loud THUMP! My goodness, that Perla is the queen of ambush and surprise.

OK, I'm done shaking now. I have to groom my pretty, soft fur and get back to being the princess that I am.

Pssstt... Don't tell anyone. It might ruin my image.

It's official -- I have a boyfriend!

Sweet, sweet Dexter has been pmailing me and sending me flowers and other pressies. He likes me! He really, really likes me! And now he has been named Detective of the Month at Samoa's Detective Agency! I'm so proud of him! Here's his interview:

Mommy and Daddy went to a human wedding

Yesterday, my mommy and daddy went to the wedding of their niece, Lindsay, to Bryan, who just returned from Iraq. It was beautiful! We were supposed to get up to two inches of rain here, but we didn't. The clouds broke long enough for the wedding ceremony to be held outside in the rolling hills of an old dairy farm under a sparkling clear blue sky. Mommy took lots of pictures, and she will try to share them later once she gets a chance to upload them.

The groom and many of the groomsmen are Marines. They looked so handsome in their dress blues. The deejay gave a tribute to the guys for their service to the country, and there wasn't a dry eye in the room!

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to attend the sock hop last night with my boyfriend Dexter, but Mommy wouldn't let me on the Internets while she was away from the house. Too dangerous, she says.

Dexter Likes Me!

My new buddy Dexter (http://www.catster.com/cats/715289 ) is encouraging my literary ambitions! He makes a good point.... how will my mommy remember the wonderful times we've shared if I don't start scritching out my thoughts in a diary!

I never realized what an artistic soul Dexter is. Why, OMC, look at him now... he's a rock star! I must admit that I'm a little jealous. He'll be attending the Welcome Waggin Sock Hop without me. My hooman niece Lindsay is getting married on the same day, and mommy says we simply are not allowed to go online without her. So many scary sites a cat can stumble onto, you know?

I hope Dexter will wait for me!
