Tui was a 'stray'...
Bio:
Tui practically appeared out of thin air one night and, in some ways, chose me. She is extremely shy with people, but then again, that isn't exactly uncommon in torites. On the other hand, she is very friendly with other cats and BJ seems to be her 'other half' so to speak. (There is a possibility that she is from the same litter as BJ although I can't be sure.) Her name, Tui, came from Tui Malila, who was not only the oldest tortoise ever recorded but also the oldest individual animal ever recorded. Tui Malila belonged to Tongan royal family until death at the age of 188. Coincidentally, Tui often translates to a title of nobility.
