Speedy was given up to a shelter in South Carolina after someone in family developed allergies. An initial placement failed and he was returned to the shelter. We saw his picture on Pet Finder and made inquiry, and on October 29, 2006 took the one hour drive over to Columbia to see him. We did not know what to expect when we brought him home, but Lucy and Royal did not seem to get bent out of shape by the new addition. It took Speedy about two weeks before he decided that we are OK people and that thias can be his forever home
