Arrival Story: He belonged to my sister-in-law before she married my brother. Unfortunately, my brother is very allergic to cats, so she had to leave him behind with her parents. Although her parents love him dearly, they were too busy to spend much time with him, so they wanted to find him another home where he could be happier. So I adopted him!
Bio: My sister-in-law adopted him from a friend while she was in college. She planned on adopting his sister Chloe and naming her Marzipan after a certain website cartoon character. When she got to her friend's house, Chloe was being a little skiddish, and Marz looked up at her and put his little paw on her cheek and she was hooked. He was raised in the same house since he was a kitten. When he was five years old, and I adopted him. It took him a few days and a trip to the vet to adjust, but now he's happy as he can be. He's very entertaining and quirky, and VERY particular about his food. He loves to greet his peeps when we get home, and follow us wherever we go.

He Fetches Like A Dog!: My cat's former owners taught him to play fetch. I don't know how, but they did. He only fetches 3 things. Black rolled-up twist ties, those ring things that you pull off the tops of jugs (not spikey, just the smooth ones) and Marvin the mousie. You throw it, he'll dash out to get it, then bring it back and drop it at your feet. He'll keep doing it until he gets tired.
Mom keeps trying to find another food that is healthier for me. I only like to eat Purina Cat Chow dry and 9 lives chicken and gravy canned food. That's it. That's my food. My mom is cool with the Purina, but she read that some of the stuff in 9 lives may not be the best thing for me. She tried beef Fancy Feast! SHEW! Then yesterday, she got me chicken and gravy flavored Nutro brand canned food trying to trick me into thinking it's my 9 lives. It didn't smell as bad as Fancy Feast, but I didn't touch it. I like MY food! After both attempts, my mom ended up throwing that stuff away and giving me my 9 lives. MARZI-2, MOM-0.
Mom noticed that I really love sheet tents and my cardboard box, so she got me a kitty cube! It's a little pop-up tent type cube with three holes in it that I can crawl in and little strings hanging from the top of the inside. I loooovvve it!!! I can sit in it, I can roll around and play in it...it's awesome! She got me a new Mavin the mousie, too because I lost my old one. Thanks, mom!
My grandparents came over to visit today! They're great, even though grandpa always says that I'm unfriendly, I love him anyway. So mom got a new mattress for her bed and it is sooo soft! It's so bouncy when I walk. I got on when mom and Greg were trying to put the sheets on and rolled around and bit them and bounced around under them. It was a blast! Afterward, I sat and bathed in my throne. All in all, it was a good day.
