Arrival Story:
A friend found this kitten and called me because she knew I was a sucker for kitties. But, from the start, this kitten had a mind of his own and there was no way to tame him. He was nice enough (to me), but would become destructive if kept inside against his will. I knew Mr. Potter would someday break my heart for I lived in a busy area and always had people tell me how they nearly missed him in their car as he darted across the street. Miracously, he lived about eight years. One Spring day, after being missing about 3 weeks, he came home with a broken hip...he had finally gotten hit. But, Mr. Potter was determined to be free again (despite a doctor saying he either needed a very expensive operation or to be put down); Mr. Potter amazingly healed to where he was still jumping up on cars and getting around like his old self. The next year, November 2001, he never returned home and a neighbor said someone reported seeing a cat dead by the road somewhere, but I never found him. I think he finally used up his nine lives, the broken hip was his eighth...he lived those lives hard and carefree, and now he's truly free.
