Mom got so angry at me last night!! I don't even know why! See, we moved into a new place a couple of months ago and it has this really neat thing called a fireplace? Our old place had one but it was always closed off with this stiff metal gate. But this one just has some metal drapes! I can slip right in there! I always thought that it was just a cozy place to sleep, nice and dark, you know? But guess what? Last night she did something different!

She got out this piece of wood wrapped in paper (the stupid dog kept thinking it was food!) and put it in the fireplace. Then you know what she did? She set it on fire!!! I know, crazy huh? But soon there was a nice, warm fire going in there! So of course, being a cold night, I wanted to get warm. So I just crawled in there and lay down on the far side of the fire. Ahh...it was bliss. But then! Then she just flipped out! She came running over and yelling and just acting crazy!! Of course I got out of there fast! I hear how sometimes certain breeds of owners can just FLIP and kill their cats without any warning! I ran and hid under the couch. What was that all about??
