I tried several times to post this as a comment on Colette Sidonie-Samantha's Diary Dreaded "Error 4" thought she could thwart me.
*clap clap!* Very nice Nuk! You should send it to HQ as well. I am appalled that they have a "WTF of the day." Once in my newspaper I wrote OMG in a promo. I got phone calls and letters to the editor saying how dare I use such an acronym. WTF seems much worse to me, and I could easily see how people would be offended. I just learned of the crocheted cat toys today. Considering any 7-year-old googling kitties could come across this page ... yikes. Well said Nuk!! we are totally disgusted with catster right now. good grief what on earth has happened to catster! Oh, Catster :( Nothing cool about not only posting that helicopter video but also writing an article that seems to glorify it as some type of amazing tribute. The blogs either seem very juvenile (cat pizza blog) or macabre (helicopter, skull posts), certainly not in line with what we love about Catster, LOVING our kitties! Disgusting and, well, just plain sad. Love you, Nuk! Purrfectly said, Nuk! I wish you would send this diary entry in a pmail to Catster HQ! Please send this to HQ! They need to know how we feel. We are agree with you totally....this has got to stop...we come here for the love, to have fun and it is a place for Moms to be with other Moms that love their kitties as much as I do...now we are not sure what is going to happen and what we can do to get the attention of HQ...they do hold us responsible for what we put on our diaries etc...so I think they need to set an example.....do they think this is funny, well I don't.... I hope they hear us!!! Hearing what Catster has become makes us glad we didn't renew so we're not still giving money to people who'd do things like this. Their guidelines are part of the reason we're not active here anymore and it's sad they don't feel the need to follow them themselves. Nuk this is exactly how I feel. I get past it by just logging into my Community page and never going to the Magazine. I do miss the Cats Meow Blog and Catster Updates the were on the Community page and now sit idle but I guess I'll live. Headbonks for you! You hit the nail on the head Nuk! I've known for quite a while what an intelligent chap our friend Nuk is, but this diary confirms what I've suspected all along... that he is also extremely wise. The HUMANS at HQ apparently have no clue that we of the four-legged family have something called TASTE, which is not limited to things that pass over our tongues. And it appears that those particular humans are themselves sadly deficient in that quality. I pity them, and I pity their children. Hear hear! You couldn't post? Probably Caster Fleas. River had the same trouble on my diary entry last night. Funny how I found myself purractically leaving a whole new diary entry in my comments too. Well said, buddy! As we've done, please send a copy of your diary entry to Watch Cat. (As we think every fur should.) We're still of the mind that it's a question of insensitivity on the part of the humans at HQ. Call us naïve, but we can't imagine that this is an effort to drive us all away. Purrs... Excellent points, Nuk. We've only heard about this dreadful "helicopter" thing and we have absolutely no desire to investigate it. It sounds like macabre desecration of the remains of a sentient creature to us. Would this be art if a human's body were treated this way, without his informed consent? We absolutely do not think it is right for "official" Catster to be allowed to use profane language or references that violate the TOS that members are held to. Excellent points, Nuk.
