DOTD, Handsome-Style!

Wow! Thank you, Catster, fur the DOTD honor! And it looks like I can read my comments on the latest diary page (yay!). What a purrfect way to wake up here at the Bridge, & I know it brightens my meowmy's day. I'm looking forward to the holidays here at the Bridge--it'll be my & sis Annie's first holiday season here. Our furiend Calvin says it's a blast! I hope Meowmy can have some fun too--I know she used to love giving us our pawresents on Christmas morning, and we'll miss getting them from her. But now she can get a few more athletic pawresents fur our younger, less physically-challenged bro, Bugsy (he needs those sorts of pawresents--have you seen the extra groceries that dude is carrying?).
But you know, I'm not so physically-challeneged anymore, now that I'm at the Bridge...I can actually see and run! And I haven't had one bit of confusion since I got here...well, except fur some of the orientation whirlwind, but I hear that's normal! Of course, I continue to be handsome. And Annie is back to her sassy self! --It's kind-of like a purrfect new year arriving early!
Thanks again to all of you Furts out there fur your kind words & support--I appreciate them & I know they help my meowmy. Peace

Comment Thief & Anniversary

Meowlo Furts. It's been a week since I went to the bridge--to the hour, actually. Meowmy got my ashes back today & placed them on the top of her bookshelf next to Annie's and next to the beautiful portrait of us. The portrait & our ashes are adjacent to where she does all of her studying fur her school and they keep her going when she's feeling burnt out. I know we may have said this before, but Meowmy wouldn't be in V-E-T school if it hadn't been fur me, Annie, and all of our Olde Furt furiends we've made over the years.
When I first had signs of renal failure, and meowmy realized that Annie & were getting on in years--becoming Olde Furts--she looked around for & tried out several V-E-Ts who she thought would be good with us. She had a hard time finding somebody who was just right! One V-E-T even admitted to her that she (V-E-T) was more of a "dog person." It was then that she thought that maybe she could someday fill that void--that she would be a V-E-T who would understand furts--especially Olde Furts--and their meowmies.
Thank you all fur your kind thoughts & support. Unfortunately, my meowmy hasn't been able to access my diary comments--her 'net shuts down every time she tried to read them. So I apologize if we haven't responded to your comments!! I hope you're all enjoying this holiday season--hug your meowmies fur me--you never know how much longer you have togefur!

Thank you all fur all of the kind thoughts, rosies, and pawmails you have sent. They mean a lot to us. I'm just finding my way around here at the Bridge, but I have a lot of pawsome angels showing me the ropes--including sis!

I've Gone to the Bridge to be with my Sisfur

Meowlo Furts. Meowmy had the visiting V-E-T come to our house this evening and help me go to the Bridge. I'd lost a lot of my handsome weight, I'd had some periods where I was really confused, and last night I had bloody pee. My meowmy tried every food and drug to get me to eat, but I just didn't feel like it. I know she misses me a lot, but I'm glad to be with Annie again. Thank you furts fur being my friends over the years. I wished we could've been on Catster more recently, but between Meowmy's school and my condition, there was just never enough time. I hope you all have a very happy holiday season...angel hugs to you all!

Hope for the Holidays

Meowlo Catsters. I just thought I'd take time out from these crazy, pre-holiday days to meow you a little update. I've had up and down days for a few months, now. But I've lost a little bit of my handsome mass. I'm down to 4 lbs and have no real desire to eat much these days, even though my meowmy spends an awful lot of time microwaving different foods fur me to eat. She's trying another new med out to see if that'll help me eat better, but my doc thinks that we need to make some tough decisions pretty soon. There's talk of a feeding tube, but Meowmy doesn't know if that will help me in the long run (or if I'd make it through the surgery). I still enjoy feeling the sun on my shoulders outside every now and then, so I don't know if I'm ready to see my sis Annie at the RB just yet...Meowmy keeps asking me what I want, but I don't think I can answer...she's the meowmy, here. I think she'd better decide. But then, maybe this new med will help me pack on a few fur the holidays!

Over the Hill (It's Sunnier There)

I'd like to thank all of our pawsome furiends fur all of the birthday wishes & rosies...it means a lot to us! Yes, 19 years! Time does fly! The weather here has warmed up and I spent my morning curled up on my blankie on the front porch--my favorite place (& favorite activity!). Meowmy fed us some of our favorite foods (a little Tiki, a little Merrick...), and managed to squeeze in a few extra cuddle times! All in all, not a bad way to turn 19. And, laydeez, a few more years & this Dreamboat'll be hittin' the dating scene. ;)
I hope all of you are having a pawsome spring!

Whoa! COTD!!

It's almost 10:30pm, Meowmy just finished reading up on dian-beet-eez & we decided to log on and see what was up in the Catster world and low and behold we discover that I was Cat of the Day! And it made my day...err, night! Thank you, Catster, fur the honor! And thank-you to all of my pals & well-wishers fur your concats! I think that this makes up fur the fact that it rained today & that me & sis have another geriatric check-up tomorrow. This seems to be my honorable month! First Samoa's Dreamboat declaration and now COTD! Wow! This Olde Furt's February's been pretty furtastic! Thank you all!

The Handsome Vote

It's official: I was voted one of Samoa's Dreamboats. Now here'a lady with purrfect taste. It just goes to show you that this Olde Furt may have lost some handsome bulk, but I still got it at 18! Thank you, Samoa, fur brightening up my winter with your wit & insight! And purrs to your pawsome Meowmy!
