Hi, y'all,
As most of you know, my sister, Zuni, is very sick. Thank you for your sweet purrs.
I'm hanging in there. I have all the symptoms of old age--trouble hearing, seeing, walking, pooping, etc. However, I keep on keeping on! One of my favorite spots is my leopard print fleece self-warming blanket in the kitchen. I can see all household activity from that spot. It is very important that I keep up on everybody! Plus, my food dish is about 10 feet away. That is also very important.
My other favorite spot is my pink fleece blankie on the couch. I have a heating pad underneath me, so it's warm even when it's cold in the house.
I don't always use the litterbox anymore. I go near the litterbox, but rarely in it. My pawrents got us a new outdoor mat to put under the litter boxes. That makes it easier for them to clean!
My favorite activities are sleeping, eating canned food, getting pets, and getting kisses from my sisters.
I got my "senior screen" test results back today. I'll just list the areas that were not within normal range.
BUN 54 (normal 15 - 34 mg/dL) H
Creatinine 2.8 (normal 0.8 - 2.3 mg/dL) H
Neutrophil Seg 79 (normal 35 - 75%) H
Lymphocytes 14 (normal 20 - 55%) L
Absolute Lymphocyte 1148 (normal 1500-7000 /uL) L
urinalysis
Blood 2+ Negative H
blood pressure systolic 140 (down from 200 last August)
The kidney values are a little better than my last screening in August. The vet said that the white blood cells are normally low in kitties my age. The urine had a bit of blood in it, but that's not abnormal for my kidney disease.
Dear Friends,
I'm delighted to say that my test results are back and I'm a healthy old kitty!!! I have no bladder infection, and my blood results are fine. Of course, I still have chronic renal failure. However, the numbers are better than when I was checked in August! Mom says that rather than just having the usual 9 lives, I seem to be on life 15 or something.
Thanks for all your wonderful prayers and purrs. I know that they really help!!!!
Purrrrrs and nosekisses,
FC
