The life of lovely little Lena

THAT was an experience

First Daddy's brother came, then his parents. I hardly got a moment's peace! They were saying how beautiful and tiny I was and kept trying to hold me. Look, NO ONE holds me but my Daddy and only when I WANT to be held. Got that?! Too bad they didn't listen. I didn't claw or bite because they did call me beautiful, but I did growl a bit. His brother was smart, he got down on the floor to play with me. That's right, just keep your distance. At least Daddy's Dad didn't try anything.

Pepi hid some but she got picked up too and amused everyone with her squeaky meow. They thought she was beautiful too. At least they know we're being taken care of even if they want to hold us all the time. Thankfully they left soon enough and we were right back to hanging out.

Some good did come from this, in all the cleaning I found one of my toy balls! Hooray! I love them. Daddy will stand at the bottom of the stairs and toss my ball up and I'll chase it as it bounces down the stairs. And if I don't find it, it will roll into the half bath. Fun!

Well, they got it right that you are beautiful, Lena! Sometimes it is fun to have company - if they play on your terms!

Balls/ We love to play with the little ones with bells. We also don't care to be picked up unless we feel like it, which is not often.

Why the humans insist on wanting to pick us up. Why how will they be able to see our lithe movements & shiny fur if they are close up? From a distance - that is what works.
