It's been a month since I went to the bridge. The tears have been shed. There will be more but not as often, but the ache will still be there. The girls haven't been stepping up to the plate much. They sort of greet Dad when he comes home, but Pepi runs when the door is open. It's not the same. They don't like to be cuddled either which Dad really misses.
And now my rosettes are going to start disappearing. Thank you everyone who sent them. They were a big help when we needed it. Yesterday Dad copied the messages still there to a txt file at work. That's the problem with rosettes, they vanish after a month but the feelings they convey don't. That's why Dad only gives out stars. You can read their messages at any time and stroll down memory lane.
The last of my pictures are up thanks to the pawsome Angel Lady and with the rosettes expiring I guess it means it's time to move forward. Dad's already promoted Lena to family spokescat. I'll continue watching over my family from the bridge. We still wonder what happened with my original family and why they had to give me up. Dad likes to think they were elderly and had to move to a place that didn't accept kitties. By now they might have passed away. That's a question Dad has about the Bridge. When a pet was owned by two different people, what happens? Both my families loved me dearly but who gets custody? Is it who had me last or longest or who gets to the bridge first? Dad hopes I get to be with him since I was so special, but who knows how the system works.
Bye for now!

Aww, Sarge, your dad sure misses you. Those girls need to get with it and learn how to cuddle! Maybe a new cuddle-bug will find his way to your home someday, when your dad is ready.
We don't know how it works at the Bridge, but your dad has custody of you in his heart forever!
Sarge, there is a permanent record of all the rosettes you have received. On the right-hand side of your page, just above where it gives your Catster ID, it says "Rosette, Star and Special Gift History". That's a link to a page that shows all the stars, gifts and rosettes you've ever received or given. You can click on them anytime to read the messages.
The "hover" part doesn't always work right, to tell you in advance who gave the gift (or who you gave it to), but if you click on the gift, you can see the message.
You and I, my angel friend, have similar backgrounds. Mom and Dad will never know what happened before I wound up that full of well, stuff rescue, but they feel I was probably owned by someone who got either put into a nursing home or passed.
We can't tell our secrets, but I can tell you, we are guides...it's always been my belief, dear friend, that we can find more than one person to guide...but we know, just from reading, that your daddy is special. We k know no matter what, your heart belonges to your daddy.
and Sarge, we always have the freedom to trot back...always.
love from Cee Cee...also at the Bridge.
Would you like to join me for a Catnip Colatta?
Beepers! your are totally pawsome we did not know that about the rosette link! Love that feature!
Sarge my sweet angel friend your dad misses you like mom misses all her angels but I sure did love to snuggle and be right with her, Ivey was like that too but her times so sweet it was also very short, the others they cuddle on their terms if they are in the mood for it and if they sleep with her it is such treat me well I went to bed any time she did.
Now about the bride mom kinda hopes if there was more than one family that loved her kitties then maybe we will be free to roam and have a home with more than one family if we need to share our love with them..... kinda like a neighborhood kitty that more than one family truly cares for,,,,,
hugs and purrs and if you wanna go with me we can wrap your dad in our angel wings of comfort tonight while he sleeps well.
