Sarge's week

One week

Well it's been a little over a week since I left my family. Dad's getting by. He's been depressed at not seeing me around and seeing the hole I left in his life. He's thinking about another kitty but doesn't want to do it too soon or expect the new kitty to be a replacement for me (even on a subconscious level). Lena is giving Pepi a hard time but it could be because she misses me too. Anyway, they're getting more attention now which is good.

We're amazed at the outpouring of support and emotion from our catster friends. I got almost as many stars as I had in life (can I get a few more so they even out heh heh heh, JK). We know some people are mad at the catster owners. While we're glad people are writing them with their complaints that's not why we come here. We're here for our friends and not for the admins. We don't read the bad stories, we just go straight to our friends and see what they're up to. Not to say they can't improve but we're not getting too worked up over it.

Oh and for those wondering in the Discworld books Death is a character who makes cameos in most of the books and talks in small caps. You can't talk in small caps here (we tried last time) so the effect would be ruined if we tried to do that dialog.

My ashes come back next week. Dad will have to find a good place for them where the others can't knock me off. Up here at the Bridge I'm getting to know Dad's other kitties he had while growing up and eating my kitty treats to make up for lost time. I have a furry tummy again and get to sleep on the sun-kissed sidewalks whenever I want.

Big hugs to your dad. and lots of soft gentle healing purrrs. Getting to know the kitties we never met before we got here to the bridge is pretty cool, skids was famous cat in my family and now that I am getting to know her so well I understand why,
Yes friends through good times, bad times sad times, and happy times. All of that is what makes catster fun for us we do not go to the home page either. I just hope we do not lose all of our friends over this....

You always have such words of are right- that is what we come for too. While you are in a better place, I know your daddy is still sad, and we send many hugs. When the time is right, I know you will send a little one to watch over him. (we have around 10 kittens under our wood pile if you are interested heehee)

My good friend....
isn't life funny? I mean, the road to Rainbow is lovely...and the road back is known to us so we can and do return when the time is right.

We couldn't agree with you more....we come here for our friends, and the love. I write for others, to hear our story, my story, and the story of what, really, is Catster. Us.

I believe this, Sarge, we as cats are everliving. We race back in between worlds that your daddy reads about and knows because we are magick. We don't much care if our bodies are sent to the skies via weird contraptions-though we understand how this can hurt people who love and honor us....still, you know, some artists are strange people who don't make much sense to us. We don't believe that those working at the HQ really understood how it would upset our folks. People make mistakes....unlike us, you know.

We are immortal. We leave behind our bodies when we can no longer enjoy the wonder of them...but we don't 'die'. We can't. We are every wonderful bit of energy we always were, and amazed, stare back with love and knowing at our people again, meowing with a different voice, gazing with different eyecolor, maybe, but the same soul.

Safe harbor dear friend, and may the road be paved with love and light upon your return.

love always,

It can be really fun up here Sarge, you'll see. I know your daddy misses you big time. I'll teach you how to visit him when he's ready, if he's open to that. I do it to my meowmy all the time and she loves it! She knows it's me. I like to sneak up on Finney and Lacey and scare them, MOL.
