Arrival Story:
I arrived one day as an adult alleycat. I felt I belonged with mommy and I did. I got fixed and became a housecat. I used to be Jack in the Back (yard) and became Jack in the House!
Bio:
One day I went outside for some sunshine and was attacked by a mean person who beat/kicked me in the head and then tried to either drown or revive me by dunking/pouring water on me. Mommy rushed me to the emergency vet where I spent time in intensive care with brain-damage and my whole body twisted.
I did however have good spirits and a good appetite and I knew mommy, tho I seemed a little slow/retarded.
I beat the odds.
I went home and over time learned to sit up then stand. After a couple of months I learned to walk using furniture to lean against then I took my first steps without a "crutch". I was permanently blind in one eye, my head cocked slightly and a crippled gait...but I got my smarts back just fine. I could even get up in the chair myself and crawl into the tub (and jump out). I was a cheerful kitty every day no matter what =)
I had a wonderful year and a half when no one expected me to survive past that fateful weekend! Haha to them!
When my best friend Biscuit (#414462) passed away 11/28/06 at the age of 23.8, my mommy came home from the vet to find that I had also unexpectedly passed away in my sleep curled up in the bed that Biscuit and I shared. We believe it was unrelated to my misadventure a year and a half before.
Biscuit and I were best friends till the end and we will be FOREVER!
