Hi Friends -
Well, today is the day I came to live at the Rainbow Bridge. It surprised Mama a little bit when she realized it. She says she thinks of me everyday, so doesn't always remember the dates. I know she still misses me as much as she did the day I came here, tho.
She says she helps other disabled pets in my memory. I know she wishes I could have stayed with her, but she knows I'm happy here with all my angel friends and siblings.
I just wanted to send my love to all my earth friends today. God Bless!
Love,
Charity Ann

From Charity Ann's Mama:
I just want to take the time as Thanksgiving draws near to say how very thankful and blessed I feel to have had Miss Charity Ann in my life for the short time she was here on earth with us. I miss her so much and wish she could be here to spend the holidays with us this year, but I know she's happy in her new home at the Bridge with baby Simon and her fursiblings.
Bless you, Sweet Angel and we all love you!
Mama & your family here on earth

Well, today I woke up in my home here at the Rainbow Bridge and found that Mama had sent me a baby to take care of!
Baby Simon was only 16 days old on earth, when he had to be sent to the Bridge last night. Mama had had Simon since he was just a couple of days old, and loved him SO much! But he just wasn't strong enough to survive life on earth, so Mama asked me to take him in and adopt him and love him for her.
Of course, I'm SO happy to have Simon here, and anyone who wants to stop by and visit is very welcome!

Hi Everyone -
Sorry I haven't written in my diary for so long, but Mama's been so sad she just hasn't had the heart to help me post. Mama & I just wanted to write down about my trip to the Rainbow Bridge.
I had always been prone to infections and they had gotten so bad sometimes that Mama had to have Dr. Rhonda give me a surgery because the medicine didn't work anymore. It was mostly my stomatitis that caused the problems, but it affected the rest of me, too. Everytime my mouth got an infection, it just spread all over me. Then there was that aborted pregnancy a few months back. That took alot out of me, and the surgery was sad.
Finally, Dr. Rhonda pulled all but 4 of my teeth, and we thought the problem with the stomatitis was all gone. But it came back, and I got infections in my ears & eyes too. Mama knew I would have to be on the medicine non-stop for the rest of my life, and soon the medicine wouldn't work anymore. The same thing happend everytime I got a really bad infection, and the only way to clear them up was another surgery. Well, I HATED that medicine! And we talked about pulling the last 4 teeth, but Dr. John (our new vet in Mesa) said it wouldn't make a difference. I'd still be sick. So Mama made a very hard decision to let me go to the Bridge where I could be well again and no more medicine or surgeries.
Mama knew I was fragile when she adopted me, but she loved me anyway, and wanted me to stay with her a long time. Instead I only got to stay with her for 2 years and 2 months (I was 1 year old when Mama adopted me). I know Mama loved me, and did her best for me, tho. I wish Mama knew it, too.
Everyone at home still misses me alot, but I visit them and let them know I'm happy here. Mama's raising bottle-babies in my honor, because she knows how much I loved the babies and helping her with them when I was on earth.
Anyway, that's what happened. 3 days after we moved into our new house in Mesa, I came to the Bridge to wait for Mama & the rest. It's wonderful here, and I met my kitty sister & brother and my doggy sister & brother who are already here, and we're all enjoying it here until Mama comes for us.
Kitty Kisses,
Charity Ann (Mama's Angel)

Playing gotcha - the meme game
I have been tagged! That is right I have been tagged by my friend Tigress, to participate in Kazumi Joy's meme.
The rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.
My seven random facts:
1. I'm blind. (I think everyone already knows that! MOL)
2. I LOVE baby kittens, and I steal them whenever I can!
3. Mama says I adjust to new situations lots faster than my siblings who can see.
4. I was rescued from some naughty kids who were throwing rocks at me.
5. I have 4 kitty siblings and 2 dog sisters.
6. I love to dress up and be glamorous!
7. I like to have my picture taken (most of the time!).
I tag the following cats on Catster:
Ashley Jay
Bambie
Princess Puddin' Pop
Sweetpea
Lady Freya
Amelia
Spooky
I hope you will all play, too!

Since we've moved and Mama says we're planning on staying put for awhile now, she went and found us a new vet. His name is Dr. Lee and he's very nice. He's nice to us like Dr. Rhonda was, and he explains things to Mama so she understands what's wrong with us and what we need.
My stomatitis keeps coming back everytime Mama stops giving me medicine, so she took me to see Dr. Lee. He says Dr. Rhonda was right - I have to have my teeth pulled! Otherwise I'll just keep getting infections in my gums and my mouth will hurt all the time - bummer!
But anyway, we have a new vet and new friends at the vet's office, and they are all just as nice as our friends at Dr. Rhonda's office were! And we don't have to go on such looooong car trips to get there, because it's right down the street from our new house!

Dr. Rhonda called Mama this morning and said that my bloodwork says that I'm normal except for a high white cell count. That means all my organs are working okay, but I have an infection somewhere. Dr. said it's probably my mouth, since that's what's sore and tender.
She says since the stomatitis came right back, I might have to have my teeth pulled! I guess what happens is that my body thinks my teeth shouldn't be there, and gets my mouth sore. I have to go back to Dr. Rhonda in 2 weeks and she'll tell Mama what we need to do so I don't get this again. In the meantime, Mama got me some really good canned food to eat. It's much easier to get down than the dry. And I have to take my nasty medicine because Dr. says that will make my mouth feel better in a hurry!

Well, I had to go back to the vet yesterday. My Dr. Rhonda wasn't there, but her friend Dr. H was there, and she said that I had a recurrance of the stomatitis. This time it's in my gums instead of my throat. I can't chew my dry food, and because of the recalls, Mama hasn't got any canned food here, so I lost a little weight, but Mama's getting me some really good canned food today so I can eat.
Dr. H took some of my blood (I didn't like it!) and said Dr. Rhonda will call Mama on Monday with the results, but I probably will have to have a dental. In the meantime, I have to take that awful medicine!

I had to go to Dr. Rhonda again last week, because Mama noticed that I was having trouble swallowing my food. Well, of course I was! I had a very sore throat! Dr. Rhonda, of course, spotted it right off and got me on some medicine to make it better.
Now, I do NOT like to take medicine, and I make a fuss everytime Mama gives it to me, but I have to admit I AM feeling much better! I just think that Dr. Rhonda should find something better to make me well! That medicine is nasty!
Since I'm feeling better, I've been out to visit my cousin kitty, Olive and all her foster siblings. They're lots of fun to visit, except the dogs! They're just TOO hyper for me! And they treat me like a squeaky toy! The nerve!!!
I put up with the silly foster dogs, tho, because it smells so nice in the yard! And the sun feels so good! Mama says we've got to enjoy this weather while we can, because it'll be over 100 before we know it!

I am just so happy these days! I have a wonderful family (even Ian, the tease!), a warm, snuggly bed to sleep in when I don't want to sleep with Mama, good food to eat, and so MANY amazing friends on Catster! I'm also spoiled just a little because Mama says I deserve a little spoiling after my rough start in life. I'm not going to object!
I even made several new friends today here on Catster! This is a great place to come and make friends!
Well, I just wanted to tell my diary how fantastic everything is right now! I'm a very lucky girl, and I know it!
