I can't really remember how it happened, except to say that Emma was chasing me. She is always chasing me. I escaped by jumping up on mommy's Napanee cabinet. There's a nice big flower pot there, with leaves I can hide behind. But not this time! I jumped, and it fell. When mommy got home from work, she found the dirt and the broken pot all over our nice blue carpet. So, she and daddy went to Ikea and got a big huge pot to replace it. It's so big and heavy that I don't think I'll be able to knock this one over! Drat!
And then the worst thing of all.... daddy got out the scary suck monster to clean up all the lovely dirt from the carpeting. I can't buy a break around here!
On my special day, I just want to take a moment to express my gratitude for all of the friends I've made here on Catster and Dogster. My life is so much richer and more fun because of all of my wonderful friends.
Mommy found a kitten tonight. She's a little teeny calico who was across the street under a tree. Some human ladies were talking to her. My mommy went up to the ladies and asked if the kitten was theirs. They all said no. The kitten is tiny... about 6-8 weeks old and very friendly. Mommy is going to take some pictures and put up signs in the neighborhood to see if she can find out if the kitten is missing from somewhere. Her eye looks a little pink, so mommy may take her to the v-e-t tomorrow.
She's really cute. She's a calico, like me, but with longer softer fur (like Cali). Daddy already gave her a name -- Emma. We'll try to get some pictures up here tomorrow. If we can't find her former family, we may try to find her a home. If anyone in the College Park, MD, area is looking for a kitten, please get in touch.
