Arrival Story:
I found Grizzy as a stray in the summer 1999, or should I say, she found me. She started coming around my garage at my apartment building, and I knew I had to help her. She was not a wild cat, maybe just lost or possibly abandoned. I'll never know her "story" before she found me, but I do know her life with me was a good one. I named her Grizabella from the musical, CATS. She was known as "Grizzy".
Bio:
Grizzy liked to cuddle and be petted. She would "meow" if you stopped to soon. She LOVED treats! She could hear the treat container being opened from the other side of the house. She would come running and meowing. Grizzy was also a good friend and protector to her little sister, Chloe- also a rescue.
In early October of 2006, Grizzy developed IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). She was treated with two blood transfusions and twice daily steroids. She was recovering well over the next few weeks, until she took a turn for the worse on November 2nd and was taken to the ER vet. Grizzy went to the Rainbow Bridge on November 3rd, 2006.
Grizzy was greatly loved and will be missed dearly.
