For those people who abandon their pets. We are not trash that you can dump because you don't want to care for us anymore or you just don't want the responsibility then you don't deserve the honor of having a pet. We are not disposible. Pets are like children ( we are children to many people ) and we ARE a responsibility. If you don't want that then purrrlease don't adopt. People have choices but animals don't. We have feelings and emotions. We feel pain. We deserve to be taken care of and most of all we deserve to be loved

The Cat's Prayer.....
Although I am too proud to beg and may appear to be a very independent creature, I ask for your loving care and attention. I rely on you for my well being much more than you may realize. This I promise you, my benefactor, that I will not be a burden on you nor will I demand more of you than you care to give. I will be a quiet peaceful island of serenity for you to gaze upon, a soft soothing body to caress, and I shall purr with pleasure to rest your weary ears. Since I am a gourmet who appreciates different taste sensations, I pray you will give me a variety of nutritious foods and fresh water daily. You know, dear friend, how I love to go. Allow me, I pray, a warm sheltered place where I can rest peacefully and feel secure. If I am wounded in battle or suffering from disease, please tend me gently, and see that I am treated by loving and competent hands. Please protect me from the inhuman humans who would hurt and torture me for their own amusement. I am accustomed to your gentle touch and am not always suspicious nor swift enough to avoid such malicious acts. Well, we found out some more sad news. A nice friend of our meowmy had a meowy sweet dog who passed away the other day. Mr. Ike was a sweet doggie whose pawrents loved him meowy much. We considered him a furrrriend even though he was a doggie. Kitties and doggies can be furrriends. He was 18 years old but it is still something that you really don't expect. Mr Ike may you rest in peace and your pawrents will always have you in their hearts and memories. Now that you are at the Rainbow Bridge, you are without pain and whole again. Everyfurr purrrrrlease keep his mommy and daddy in your thoughts and purrrrrayers. He was meowy special

To those of you who have lost a brofur, sisfur, or furrrriend, we are truly sorry and we will purrrray for all of you. Whether it was recent or sometime ago. You will always carry them in your heart and your memories of them will live on furrever. They may no longer be here physicially but they will be here in spirit. At the Rainbow Bridge, they are happy, healthy, and whole again.

My sweet boy, I am not a religious person but I believe that you and your brother were born for a reason and I thank god every day for you and your brother. You both got me through the toughest time of my life when my grandmother passed away. She was my best friend and my everything but now you both are my everything. You were born right after she passed away so is that a coindence or not? You know when I am sick or upset and you come right to me and cuddle with me when normally you don't do that . You give me such unconditional love and trust. You don't care what I look like and you don't judge me. That is more than what any person has ever given me. Thank you my sweet boy for giving me a reason to go on.

We thought that your job was to protect and save animals but some of the things we have found out recently have us angry doubting you meowy seriously. You submitted a report 9 months after it was due to a VA government agency. That set off warning bells for us but what was in the report was terrible. You PTS 97% of adoptable and healthy animals in 2006 and even then you couldn't treat the poor animals with any respect and dignity, you put them in dumpsters like they were trash. In one of those dumpsters was a mother cat and her two babies. You are hypocrites by telling people not to eat meat or wear leather. You have no right to tell people what to do considering what you do. Animals have a right to live and deserve a chance at adoption. People have a choice, animals don't

They have not done anything to deserve the postition they have been put in. They have to fight for survival every day. They are lonely, cold, hungry, tired, the very young, the very old, sick and weak. All they want is to be fed, held, played with, petted, a good home, and most of all to be loved. And what am I talking about? Stray cats of course. They are society's throwaways. They have been abused, misused, abandoned, and thrown away like they are trash. All cats deserve a great life with great families who love us and take care of us. We are so fortunate compared to those poor kitties.

Christmas is just around the corner and we have been thinking about what we wanted. The best present that we could ever get is that every animal has a home and someone to love them. All animals deserve a chance. People are given second chances so why not animals, too? For Christmas, our meowmy has told people to donate to the humane society. She doesn't need or want anything for herself. She donates to the humane society and to a no-kill animal shelter, Meowmy has said that we have so much and the animals in those shelters have so little that it is the least she can do.

We should all be thankful that we have good homes and great pawrents because there are so many kitties and doggies who are not so fortunate. There is nothing our meowmy wouldn't do for us. She has gone without just so we could have something. Nothing gives her greater pleasure than to do for us. She tells us all the time that we are the best things that ever happened to her and no matter how bad she feels she finds the strength to play with us. Purrrrrrlease purrrray for all those who are not as fortunate as all of us. Have you loved on your pawrents, lately?
