Arrival Story: My grandmother passed away in 2003. Not long after that, a friend's cat gave birth to Heckyl and his brother and rejected them soon after so I became their mom which included the bottle feeding and even showing them how to use the litterbox. Instead of concentrating on myself, I had these little guys who depended on me. I knew absolutely nothing about cats especially raising them but I soon learned. They are the best things that happened to me.
Bio: "I am a friendly, outgoing, kitty who likes everyone. My brother will tell you that I act like I know everybody. Well, I don't want to know the people who make loud noises because I don't like those. Me and my brother will make like a bananna and split."
"We look alike but my fur is a little longer and fuller and that is the main difference in our appearance but when we were kittens we looked exactly alike. My brother is a little smaller and his fur is coarser."
You have broken a lot of hearts with the news that Catster and Dogster is shutting down. You do not know how it much it has meant to cats, dogs, and their pawrents everywhere. How sad. Me and my brofur have communicated with many kitties and meowmy with many fellow pet lovers all over the country as well as all over the world. Many of us exchanged cards and even gifts and became furriends. Catster and Dogster is not just a website but a lifeline for many people including our meowmy who does not have family but enjoys talking with others who have something in common with her
Meowmy has a major pet peeve. People who get pets and then decide that they don't want them anymore. Pets are like children, they are a responsibility and need care, love, and attention and should not be discarded like trash. Animals love and feel pain just like people do. If you have a pet, and no longer want them then take them to your local humane society where at least they stand a chance. Remember "People have choices, animals don't."
