He was part of a feral colony, along with his brother, Tom. My sister and I trapped them as kittens. She kept Tom, and I took Scout, who, at the time, was the cute, little one. I quickly discovered he was also the crazy one, who would never quite get over being feral. He startles very easily, spends a lot of time concealed (under blankets or in closets), and meows--like a kitten--a hell of a lot. For no particular reason. While staring intently. He hasn't changed much in fourteen years, but since being reunited with Tom two years ago when my sister moved away, he seems a tiny bit more stable.
