Bonnie and her littermate Charlie were feral kittens that were trapped by a friend of mine. She took them and had them neutered and was just going to turn them loose again. I didn't want that, so I took them. I don't think it's enough to keep them from breeding, though I do think it was kind of my friend to have them neutered. They need a home and now they have one. Most people wouldn't want a feral cat for a pet because you can't touch them. Some will eventually socialize or partially so. I don't think Bonnie ever will. She is perfectly happy living indoors with the other cats and she's very visible, but will run if a human approaches her. One of the challenges with feral cats is when they need Vet care. Bonnie started drooling and I suspected a bad tooth. I had to catch her in a wildlife net and pull the drawstring. I put her in the back seat of my car, net and all and drove to the clinic. Once there, I turned one of their carriers on end and emptied her into it. When he got ready to work on her, he just dumped her into the induction box and turned on the gas. She had her bad tooth pulled. I enjoyed petting her while she was still woozy.
