I am quite the smart girl... I look my Mom right in the eye, and I pretty much know what she's thinking... we have "conversations" and I like chatting!

Arrival Story:
I actually picked out my Mom... she was looking at my brother at the humane society, and I came strutting up and the rest is history!!!
Bio:
I am definitely using my 9 lives... when I was 12 weeks old,; right after my Mom adopted me, I had to have a serious hernia operation... then, when I was 6 years old (on my B-Day), I was diagnosed with Fibrosarcoma; a very aggressive cancer which is caused from vaccinations... I had surgery to remove the tumor, but, even after surgery, the prognosis for this type of cancer is pretty grim. Thankfully, my Mom sought out an alternative vet, and I took special supplements and herbs, and years later, I'm a strong survivor! Needless to say; no more vaccinations for me!!!
Then, in 2005, I had a life-threatening thyroid problem... I hate taking pills, so giving me daily meds for life wasn't working... so we went to a specialist and I had a very expensive (thanks Mom!) radioactive iodine treatment and now I'm all good again... (and no pills!). Our motto is "strong girls together"!!!
However, I do get very vocal in the car on the way to the vet; but who doesn't???!!!
Sadly, I was diagnosed (Aug. '07) with gastro-intestinal lymphoma, and the prognosis is very grim ... the oncologist gave me 3 months... I was 15 lbs- got down to 8 lbs, but since I have been doing classical homeopathy, I am back to 10 lbs (yeah) ... My Mom & I decided not to do chemo (& we both know we made the right choice for us); I am doing classical homeopathy where I get a "remedy"... it helps the body heal itself... it has bought me more time, along with better quality of life... I also changed to a grain-free diet...and so far, I am doing well, and I have outlived my "timeline". I have survived over 2 YEARS now; proof that I am a strong girl... and that I have the best vet in the world! I am a happy girl, except I hate it when Mom is out of town... I am not ready to leave yet, so I'm gonna try very hard to heal my body, and stick around for a long while! I have always been a true survivor and fighter, and I am helping Mom through this, as it's very hard on her. Please keep me in your prayers and send me purrs... Meow
