Harley was adopted from our local shelter as a 6 month-old. She was so grumpy that we decided to get Indy just to have a nice tempered cat. Indy taught Harley how to be social and loving and they became good friends. In the 16 years that Harley has graced our house, she has mellowed with age. She is my fluffernutter, my snuggle bunny and my valium. When she deams you worthy of a couch snuggle, you are out like a light in seconds. Her purring will soak your shoulder, her bunny fur will attack your senses and her love will overwhelm you. Indy may have saved her place in the household, but Harley certainly found her groove as the years progressed.

Well, it's sort of my purrthday... Mom and dad adopted me on January 16th 15 years ago and I was approximately 6 months old then. Mom chose 6 months back from my Gotcha Day and here we are! Mom is very happy that we are celebrating 16 years. She never had a cat last so long or be so healthy. India is 15 and Mac is 13, so I guess the humans must be doing something right or it's all that running from the stinkin dogs that's keeping us fit. *stinkin dogs*
Well cats, I just wanted to give a shout out and say that I'm loving life and still as gorgeous as ever. Mom and I are finally able to snuggle on the couch without dogs trying to run me off and I'm happy that I can now purr and drool on her shoulder to my heart's content.
