Arrival Story: Bagheera appeared in our back yard one day and refused to leave. We tried to find his previous owners without success, so we adopted him. Okay, he adopted us. We know that.

Bio: Our son named him Bagheera, after the black panther in the Jungle Book.
He was happy to be inside with us at first, but after a while he wanted to go out again. He became more and more depressed when we wouldn't let him out. Finally, we asked his vet what to do, and she said, "Let him out and keep your fingers crossed." So far, he has always come back, usually after a couple of hours at most.
Bagheera is absolutely ruthless with rodents. He often comes back licking his chops, and frequently leaves little "presents" for us at the door. Let's just say, he doesn't find heads or fetuses edible.
With humans, he is the most affectionate cat we have ever known, bar none. We just love him to pieces.
