It's Stella. On Oct. 4, my Momcat, who was a feral cat living outside here, showed up with two big kittens, apparently born around Aug. 15. After Nov. 1, we never saw Momcat again. We think she might have been pregnant and went off and died during the delivery. We are all so broken up about losing her. She had ten kittens in two years and was a great mother to all of us.
The two kittens who were weaned stayed around outside. We made a cat shelter for them in a rubber tub and a way they could get under the trailer. But on Wed., 11/21, the weather was getting so terrible that my person had to bring them inside. They love it in here--being warm and lots of food, what's not to love?! For the time being they are being kept in the bedroom, which they are wrecking, and sleeping in a big dog cage at night and when my person has to go to work. She took them to the vet on Friday and they are cleared of most diseases and have had their shots. BigBoy weighed 4.7 pounds and is 14 weeks old! Hence his name. BigGirl is more like our mom, and weighs 3.7 pounds, which is not exactly tiny for that age. Both are tabby and white and very thickly furred. They are definitely plushy cats like me.
Delyte and I hated this at first, but I have been playing with them [and stealing their food ] Delyte hates them.
My person doesn't feel that she can keep them. There is not enough of her to pay attention to 4 cats, and we are only allowed two where we live. Plus our male person is allergic to cats and 4 cats is just too much fur. We want to find a good home for them, preferably together, where they can be warm fat house cats like me. My person will deliver them any reasonable distance from here. They don't mind being in the car at all.
If we can't find homes for them soon, we may have to take them to Treehouse in Chicago, 350 miles away. None of the no-kill shelters around here are accepting kittens, and the local humane society is currently euthanizing all new arrivals. Too many of my family has died--my Momcat and five of my brothers and sisters--and we don't want that to happen to these guys. They are the last of Momcat's breed. They have the same dad as me, so they are my full siblings.
Purrs to you all! So this has been quite an impressive Thanksgiving!

I've been tagged by both Neferkitty and Little Bit! So let me combine it into one list and one set of tags:
1. I recently had two more siblings be born. My Momcat showed up with two kittens whose fathers are obviously the same as me. Don't know whether they are boys or girls yet--they are too active and scary to see!
2. I recently got over having a heart murmur. It showed up all of a sudden in February and now it’s gone. I never had any symptoms from it.
3. I am getting a little bored of the game of retrieving the plastic tags. My new one is putting them under the refrigerator or the dishwasher and then begging my person to get them out again. She gets them out from under the dishwasher but boy is she going to be surprised when she gets a new fridge!
4. I know how to open the outside door unless it is perfectly latched, and I try all the time, so we are not allowed to look out the door for long without close supervision. Delyte thinks I am a pain because he loves to look out the door.
5. I really enjoy sleeping on the bed, even if I have to share it with Delyte. But we don’t touch, so that’s all right.
6. I don’t like canned cat food very much. My favorite is dry cat food, the cheaper the better. Which probably accounts for my roundish figure…
7. I love playing games on the Forum, but my typist doesn’t want me to stay up that late and she is tired since she has to work all the time. But she misses helping me with the games!
So now I tag:
Cole, my plushy buddy
Catsy, the tough old guy
Wednesday, the beautiful black one
Puglsey, another beautiful black one, her brother
Mouse, with his interesting ears,
Aldo, the wise and caring one
AND
Willow Moth!
Purrs to all!

It's Stella. I had a big adventure yesterday, and took Delyte along with me. I figured out how to open the screen door. I won't tell how! My person went to close the inside door because she was hot and wanted to turn up the AC, and the screen door was open! And both cats were outside! Delyte, the big wimp, was just dithering away on the deck right by the door, and as soon as she opened the door he obediently ran in. I was running around in the yard, however, and I would not allow myself to be caught, running around in circles and making my poor crippled person chase me around. Finally I let her catch me and take me inside. That was fun! But now she won't even let us look out through the screen door at all, even after she checks to see that the door is latched. So no more meowing at my Momcat and Brothercat through the screen. I hope she will forget soon, though.
[Stella's person here: She forgets that it is too hot to have the door open anymore anyway, but I hope I can figure out how she did it before cooler weather gets here. She's awfully smart and Delyte can add a lot of weight as leverage, so if they work as a team, we may have to wire the door shut!]
