Arrival Story:
Calliope was dumped on a farm with her sisters Penelope and Angel. Angel had heart problems, and passed shortly after. Callie is pure love, which is evidenced by the heart on her chest. Callie has almost died twice since we've had her. She ran a super high fever that had us frightened and rushing her into the vet, wrapped in cold towels, and no cause was ever found. Since then, she has very mild neurological damage. She also got caught in a thin cord, hanging upside down. As we ran to get her loose, she knocked over the treats, and as she was howling from fear and pain, she was eating the treats, so she sounded like she was gargling. We cut the cord, let her down, and she's been fine since.
