We're Moving! (& Merry Christmas!)

We're moving to a new state! My pawrents have found us a new house & I can't wait to check it out!

Right now I'm at my grandpawrents house, all the humans thought it might be a bit less stressful for me to stay here during the move. As a matter of fact, we did go over the river & through the woods to get here, whataya know! I hid out under the bed for the first week or so, but I'm getting used to grandma & grandpaw now, I'm having lots of fun here.

It was AWFUL! Last night was Christmas Eve (that's not the awful part though). Now I had noticed the tree and all the presents here at grandma's house and behaved myself ever so purrfectly: I didn't knock down any ornaments or scratch any presents, I was a kitty angel. Last night they finally started opening the presents. Present after present after present, but none for me! Last year, almost all of them were for me. Plus, meowmy would give me treats as I posed for my photos with all my xmas goodies. I can't believe my pawrents didn't send me a present (they say they'll give me a belated Christmas, but how was I to know that last night?) After my grandpawrents were through opening all their boring presents - absolutely nothing smelled like catnip by the way - I searched & searched through the wrapping paper for just one little present, just one little greenie or pounce treat, but to no avail. They didn't understand why I was so upset, it was ever so frustrating!

Well, I do feel better now since meowmy explained why I was acting so strange last night and grandma gave me some yummies and even a little present (although I think it might be one of my old toys wrapped up in some of last night's wrapping paper - it's the thought that counts of course!)

I just can't wait to get settled in to my new home and I'm very much looking forward to playing on Catster again, I miss my furriends ever so much!

My purrfect week, I feel so chic!

Meowmy is a bit under the weather, it's kinda of hard for me to type without her help but I promise to make sure she helps me thank everyone purrsonally once she gets better.

I'm so proud of my Catster résumé! All I need now is to get meowmy enrolled in a writing class so I can be one of those diary picks someday. Then it will be pawsitively purrfect!

While I was writing my last entry, I received a couple more gifts!

Speaking of the lovely Tigress, please have a look at this page of gifts that she & Oly & even my pawrents got me for my birthday. Tigress tagged me a week or two ago. This glamorous girl is one of the sweetest kitties I know, she's always so thoughtful & generous. She sure has a wonderful furhusband as well, we should all be so lucky to find somekitty like Vincent! Oh, and here's the video she made of one of the birthday gifts I sent her - it's super cute, thanks for making that video Tigress, we loved it!

- AND I got one of those cool Birthday cakes - thanks to our one & only Catster Cat! I wonder what flavor it is, I'm gonna pretend it's catnip & tuna fish flavored, Yummy! Thanks so much!

Those new gifts are really something, aren't they? Catster just keeps coming up with the coolest stuff! (check out the Catster Gift Shop) I loved giving Rosettes and Stars, but this is gonna be even more fun!

The very first special gift I received was from Dolly and Maggie - an awesome trophy! I also got some yummy cupcakes - one from my dear friend Aldo, another from the super sweet Scooter, and another (with a cute Birthday kitty graphic) from my pal Oly! Louis LeBeau and family sent me a cute little mousie to chase, and Twixy has given me some gorgeous flowers with the sweetest note. The card on the flowers said "Happy 1st Catster Anniversary, Nefer!!!! I'm so glad we're friends. Catster wouldn't be the same without you! Hugs and purrs, ~Twixy" Wow Twixy - I love that! Catster definitely wouldn't be the same without you either, I'm honored to be your friend.

Wow, you kitties are from Australia, the UK, and Belgium - how cool is that? I love Catster! I just checked out Jefke's page & his mommy wrote him a lovely tail of devotion yesterday, so adorable. Also, many thanks to Elmer and Oly. You sweet kitties really know how to make a girl feel special!

I've even received a Rosette from Angel & Merlin and a Star from Twixy! That is so pawsome! Thank you kitties!!!

Oh yeah, one of my best furiends is the TKC Cat of the Week, it's Little Bit! I think it looks so cool to have our photos together there on the group page! Way to go Little Bit!!!

Wow! I'm TKC Cat of the Month!!!!!

This morning I decided to write my diary entry first thing. I wanted to make sure I did that before I got involved in something else & forgot about it. Then I read my new pawmails. There was one from my good friend Twixy, she said there was a surprise for me at the The Kitties' Club. And it sure is a surprise! I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw my picture on the group page - I'm Cat of the Month for TKC!!!

Holy Catnip! Just when I thought this month couldn't get any better! Thank you so much Twixy & all my furiends at TKC! If you've read my diary entries, you'll know how much of a fan I am of this group, I love TKC! Here's a photo of me with all my kitties' club goodies! Check out TKC group page, it's an amazing group of kitty cats! They really know how to have fun! And their slogan is 'It Keeps Getting Better And Better!!!' Now that fits purrfectly if you ask me!

It's almost my Birthday!

Today is my adoption annifursary, I've been with meowmy & daddy for one year now. Boy have I changed their lives! They think about me all the time: When they were shopping for souvenirs while on vacation for example, all they could think about was what they were gonna get for me. (I don't see anything weird about that)

I've changed a lot as well. I was less than 7 pounds a year ago and now I'm 12 pounds. (I'm a rather big kitty so I'm not really that fat and I haven't put on any weight in the last 6 months) And my fur!!! My pawrents almost didn't believe the card from the shelter that said I was a domestic medium hair, but now I have a beautifully thick coat - I'm nice & fluffy as I'm meant to be.

We don't know when my birthday really is of course. That card said I was 3 years old, but grandmeow thought I was younger. Mom finally decided to have my birthday on November 9th, but she forgot to update what she originally had listed in my Catster account (November 2nd), so I got a wonderful email today from Catster wishing me a happy birthday! (they gave me some treats & a vote of 5 paws - thank you so much Catster! How pawsome!!)

So, November is a big month for me:
1. I was adopted exactly 1 year ago,
2. My Catster anniversary is on November 8th,
3. It's my birthday month. (I'll be 4 years old on the 9th)

Plus the leaves are falling off the big tree in the front yard and watching leaves fall is my absolute favorite pastime! Oh and the holidays, I love getting ready for the holidays!

I've Been Tagged!

Ok, I'm not gonna let my scribe (meowmy) sleep through this one! I got tagged a few times back in May of this year, but I didn't find out about it until like August. I guess meowmy hibernates in the summer or something?

For this tag game, I need to pick 10 fellow Catsters and say something nice about them as well as the cat who tagged me. Then, send pmail or rosette to the kitties that I have tagged! What fun! This is so exciting!

I have been tagged today by my wonderful friends Jefke & Chai. Jefke and I have been furiends for a long time, he's so sweet & was always checking up on me to make sure all was ok in my family, I really appreciate that. Chai doesn't mind listening to me go on & on about Disneyland. Plus she has so much to tell me about it too. We occasionally meow about other things, but disneyland is my absolute favorite thing to think about & I'm ever so happy to find another like minded kitty.

For the current tag game, I've decided to tag my buddies who were sweet enough to tag me last time (nearly half a year ago). I hope you all still remember me!

Chewy - She has got to be the funniest cat around! I was so worried about her lately because she had moved away from her meowmy, but now she's back for good & I'll be doing the kitty happy dance about this for days to come!

PJ - This smart kitty always has his page looking sharp and is kind enough to help out other Catsters & Dogsters with their pages too. You would think he & Callie Jean might have a lot of sibling rivalry, but you can tell this sweet kitty really loves his sister. Oh, he has the coolest markings too!

Twix - She has one of the coolest groups around, I adore The Kitties' Club! Twixy is just the best furiend a girl could have. She's sweet, generous, and loads of fun!

Stella - This cutie joined Catster about the same time I did and is one of the sweetest kitties I know. Stella really knows how to lounge on one of those recliners, I could really learn something from her - great form girl!

Mojo - Her canine brother Levi was the very first pup to give me a star. This family will always hold a special place in my heart. Oh, and she just might be the softest kitty in the world, she sure does look soft!

Milo - This handsome orange & white tabby and I have a lot in common. We're both afraid of going outside as well as the car. But this guy is incredibly brave in one area I will never be - he absolutely loves dogs, now that's impressive! Hey Milo, you don't sneak into Disneyland after it closes every once in awhile, do you?

Magic - Now this is one cool cat! He was one of my very first friends here at Catster. I do believe this sweet kitty knows more about sports than anyone I know! Oh yeah, I love his name too!

Hunter - Always dressed to impress, this handsome kitty has purrfect tuxedo markings. He's also incredibly caring & always takes time to help out his fellow Catsters. That makes him the absolute best in my book!

Oly - She's always there for me whenever I need a shoulder to lean on. Oly and her cousin Tigress are the falling ojbect wizards. I feel so lucky to be her pal, she's what makes Catster 'catster' for me.

Ok, that covers all the sweet kitties who tagged me this summer. But I still need one more, so I'm gonna pick...

Chloe - my twin kitty! She's had a rather tramatic experience this summer with the 'hairdo incident', but she made it through with flying colors! (no pun intended with that one) Chloe is always there to lend an ear, she's an absolutely wonderful friend!

It's here!

My Shutterfly photobook arrived today! I'm very happy with it too, it's really nice quality. Mom & I kept it a secret from daddy so it could be a surprise and boy was it hard. Not for me since he never understands what I meow about, but mom's not very good at keeping secrets from daddy. We did it though & daddy just loves it too, he got even happier when he found out it was free - plus we had a coupon for free shipping! Thank you so much Catster & Shutterfly! We love it!!!

I just joined The Kitty Walkers Group. When my pawrents went to buy a birthday present for Tigress, they also came home with this harness & leash set for me. I'm not sure I have the purrsonality for walking around outside, it's so scary out there, but I don't mind having the harness on that much, maybe I'll get better at it.

About that birthday present, there are a few little gifties and I just had to test each one out to make sure they work - I wouldn't want to send a broken present. But I guess I tried one of them out just a bit too much because daddy went back to the store & bought another one for Tigress. Oopsy!

Whad'ya think?

My pet motto is currently 'World's Quietest Purrer', and it's gotta be true. You can feel me purr but very rarely do I purr loudly enough to hear it without you placing your ear right on me. Anyway I was thinking of going with 'Desert Diva' to fit in more with my Egyptian lifestyle. Problem is I'm more of a full figured kitty and I'm afraid it may get mistaken for Dessert Diva! Any thoughts on this one?

By the way, I'm also incredibly good at silent meowing. If you're outside and I'm on the inside window sill, it looks as though we have the best storm windows ever made. But then you come inside and I'm still meowing and it still sounds the same - dead silence. I can meow, but this is more fun, maybe I'll play a trick on grandpa one of these days and have him think he really does need one of those hearing aids!

Callie Jean is Cat of the Week!

I'm sure you all know that Callie's COTW, but if you haven't checked out her page yet, you just gotta!

Callie Jean & PJ have figured out how to completely get rid of the 'frame' surrounding our profiles which will allow us to have more customized pages (I bet their mom might have had a bit to do with it too!). And they're just the best in my book because they're happy to share what they know with all of us Catsters & Dogsters!

Just a little midnight entry

Now why am I up at nearly midnight? Well there's a thunderstorm & it's ever so scary. It's not 'grandpa scary', but I'll still be glad when it's over. Daddy should be home from work any second now too! But since I was up I thought I'd write a little in my diary.

What the heck was that thing?

Dad put this new contraption over by my food dishes. It had water in it, but I find my water dish much more appealing, so I really don't think it was for drinking water. At first I could simply ignore this thing, but then the water in it started moving! You can imagine my horror: I'm sitting there happily eating my breakfast & then out of the blue that weird contraption started making noise, scary splashy noise. So I hissed at it and ran away. I hardly went anywhere near my food except to hiss at that...that... whatever it was. And can you believe it? My dad just laughed at me, couldn't he see how awfully frightening that thing was?

That thing was here for several days, I was beginning to think it was here to stay & I would therefore have to starve to death. But thankfully it was gone when I got up this morning - phew! I sure hope it doesn't come back!

Scary People

I added five photos yesterday, I'm ever so proud of my Yin & Ying impression.

Let's see, what can I meow about tonight? hmmm... Oh yeah, a few weeks ago our Internet quit working. It was about 5 days with no connection - I had thought Meowmy was gonna go into withdrawals! Then a scary man came over & gave us a new modem (I hid under the bed of course). He was so scary in fact that I wouldn't come out until he was gone for 3 hours. And on top of that, my silly pawrents decided to vacuum too! Geesh, don't they know how much stress I'm in? I'm just happy everything is back to normal now. Oh yeah, he was even scarier than those grandpawrents of mine.

I'm not afraid of people when they come to the door or even tap on the window sill as I'm sitting there. Those people are like the people in the tv, not scary at all. I'm just afraid of those who actually come inside the house. I'm sure I can't be the only kitty like this even though Meowmy says she's never seen such a scaredy cat in all her life.

Neferkitty Returns

Just wanted to say that I'm slowly creeping my way back to Catster. I just received the coolest Rosette from Pekoe and I joined a group today - Pawsome Pages - that should be fun. I miss all my furry furiends and I plan on catching up with my correspondence very shortly, I even plan to update Catster Codes soon as well.

Thanks again Pekoe! I just can't wait to meow with all my old pals & get to know my newest furiends too, Catster is so much fun, I love it here!

Prom 2007 - A Night In The Catnip Garden

I was a bit afraid to go to the Prom since I didn't have a date, but I'm so glad I did, I was chosen as the Prom Queen! Thanks so much to Baby Girl & Tommy who gave me a beautiful star for my prize. All the kitties were so wonderful and dressed so beautifully, I bet they had a very hard time picking the winners.

Thanks so much for putting on such a lovely prom Tommy & Baby Girl, it's a night I will never forget. I met so many new kitties too, what fun! Can't wait til next year!

Prom Night

There's a Catster prom in less than 1 hours time. Here's the forum thread if anykitty wants to stop by. You can also view all the dressed up kitties by running a photo tag search for 'Prom' It's being put on by Tommy and Baby Girl, what a lovely idea! I didn't figure it out until the day before yesterday or I would have offered to help kitties find dresses & tuxes, maybe we'll have another Prom next year (& maybe next year I'll have a date too!) There was also a pre-prom last night, but my secretary totally forgot to bring my attention to that as well.

My pawrents & I just took this baseball quiz over on Gordy's page (on the NY Yankees of course!) and I'm so proud of us too. It was really hard, meowmy & daddy only knew 3 of them for sure so they called meowmy's cousin (a huge baseball fan) for help. We still had to pretty much guess on 4 of them, lucky guesses I suppose since we got an 80%. Yep, even with all that help, we're still happy with ourselves, Gordy sure came up with some tough questions!

Hmmm, I wonder what questions I would ask if I made up my own quiz. Sounds like fun though, maybe I'll try that myself pretty soon.

Bath #2

Bath #2. No I didn't go number 2 in the bathtub (should've though!), I mean daddy gave me my 2nd bath last week. Baths are just no fun at all, I didn't even meow to my pawrents for several days afterwards (or was that several hours, can't remember, oh well) Plus he trimmed my nails just before the bath which made it ever so hard to scratch him. hmmmph! On the bright side, I'm so soft & fluffy now! The white part of my fur is so much whiter now too.

Mercy, Mercy Me!

Wow! One of my bestest furiends is COTW! Her week is almost over now, but she had an awesome time of course. She's such a deserving kitty too, gorgeous & ever so sweet. Meowmy & I were so excited that we told daddy about it right away. And can you believe it?, he said 'oh yeah, the boa kitty', what?! Daddykitty actually knows about Neferkitty's furiends?! Well, there are a lot of kitties with feathers around here, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. We didn't think he really paid any attention at all, this is downright amazing! A day for pawties!

Today we're having a tea pawty in TKC garden, this is gonna be so much fun.

I got my photo ready last night for Rocky Ann's Sweet 16 birthday party, but I just now realized that I should tag it. From looking at the stroll, there sure are a ton of us kitties who love Rocky Ann (who can blame us?) I even spotted some doggies who were smart enough to get in on the stroll too.

Speaking of doggies, mommy's thinking of adding one of her doggies to dogster. It's a rainbow bridge doggie of course. I mean, I enjoy my online canine pals, but I just couldn't imagine actually living with a real dog.

I need to update my weight again. It currently says I'm 10 pounds, but meowmy weighed me the other day and I'm almost 12 pounds! I know I've been putting on more weight, yet much more slowly than I did at first. But 12 pounds, geesh! I'm nearly twice the cat I was when I came home with mommy & daddy. I hope I'm not getting fat. I really hope mommy doesn't put me on a diet, she did catch me eating something off daddy's plate that he didn't put away, I think my days of sneaking daddy's leftovers may be over. I should have been even more sneaky! Actually meowmy's very proud of me, she thinks I'm very healthy (as do I of course).

I've also been having fun passing out my Easter rosettes (and receiving them as well), Catster is so much fun!!!

I just can't live without my daily Twix!

This entry is all about my furiend Twixy. First of all, I want to thank her in my diary for the beautiful Star she gave me on the 8th of March - it's the lone star I received this March and I just love it!

Plus, my goodies that I ordered from The Kitties' Club store arrived! That's Twixy's club and as you probably already know, I'm a huge fan (hehe, I even have the t-shirt to prove it!). Here's a link to see some photos of me with my new stuff, I just love being a model!

OMC! I received a star from DJay, that makes 2 Stars in a row from doggies. Thank you DJay! My latest rosette is from a doggie too! Thank you very much Daisy!

Daddy did finally bring me home some belated Valentine's Day treats. I was starting to get a bit worried there.

I think it's so kewl that Scooter is COTW! I didn't do much detective work on the Blue Brothers mystery myself, but I did enjoy reading the diaries of other kitties on the case, such as Samoa. Thank you Scooter & Nikko, that was so thoughtful of you & a lot of fun too!

Woohoo! I got a Star from a doggie! She said I deserved a star for bravely visiting & helping the "other side". Oooh, I feel like a Star Trek kitty, bravely going where no kitty has gone before! (I think I'm winning them over one by one) Thank you so much Sadie Lickin's! She has a really funny entry in her diary (here's a link) about the rosette I gave her, you might wanta sneak over to her page sometime & check it out.

And I received a beautiful anonymous rosette. It says "This is a Random Act of Catness rosette, for one of the most helpful and selfless kitties we know. You have such a big heart how could we not love you!" (I know what some of you guys must be thinking... and I didn't give it to myself, really!) I wonder who it could be? Whoever you may be, thank you!

A Tail of Two Kitties?

I added a before & after pic of my tail. From rat to cat daddy says. I was so stressed out before I met my mommy & daddy, but now I'm much healthier and I can hardly even remember life before my new family. Perhaps all of this weight I've put on is mostly in the form of fur! I'm thinking I could be the spokeskitty for the 'furclub for cats'...'I'm not just a client, I'm the purresident!'

My belated Valentine's Day entry

Oh dear, I forgot to meow about Valentine's Day!

Well no kitties asked me to be their special Valentine this year, but that's ok, mommy said she would share daddy with me. In fact, I think my friend Rico said it best. I put up a photo of the presents daddy gave me & mommy. He gave mommy a cute little teddy bear & gave the huge bear to me! Isn't that cool? It's so much fun to cuddle with too. I'm still expecting him to bring home some Pounce treats as a belated gift any day now. I don't understand why mommy got chocolates, yet I didn't get any treats. I've thought about it and the only thing I can come up with is that the store must have run out. Yep, daddy needs to get his holiday shopping done sooner. That's the only feasible explanation, don't you agree?

Meowzers! I was Cat of the Day!!!

I was Catster's COTD for February 15th! It was just the most exciting day, it felt like a birthday! And not one of those grown up birthdays, more like those fun birthdays that kids have.

Let's see...Twixy was kind enough to start a thread at the forum to celebrate my day. I thank all of you who posted, it meant so much to me. I received a whole bunch of beautiful rosettes, I thank you all so very very much!!! And 3 stars - from my sweet friends Rocky Ann, Wally, & Smudge - thank you, thank you, thank you! I even made some new friends. It was just the best day at Catster I've ever had!

I was so busy the next few days trying to catch up on my correspondence (well, I'm still doing that - not that I'm complaining of course!), that I haven't talked about my cool Meowdy Gras costume. It's on the last page of my photo book now, if you want to check it out.

I would like the thank each & every one of you for making my special day the best it possibly could be, thank you so much!

I would like to thank The Cornish Crew ever so much for my beautiful star! Thank you Willow and thank you to each and every one of your lovely siblings as well! That's my 12th star. I love my stars very much, I have so much fun looking at them. Oh, I guess I should call that 'star gazing'.

Mommy hasn't been feeling well for a few days. But I think she's getting better. I sure hope so, for I have my hopes set high on passing out my valentines this weekend.

It only took 60 pictures or so and an hour with photoshop, but now mommy has 2 beautiful valentine photos of me! Can you tell I was trying to be good? I was, really I was!

Pretty Dresses

Mommy told Daddy that she wanted me to look cute like Twixy for Valentine's Day. Daddy said that wasn't gonna happen, he said 'our cat is a naturist'. But then the very same day Daddy came home with not one, but two pretty dresses! They were the very last ones left at the store! I hope they fit. I guess daddy's right about the naturist thing, I'm so much more comfortable in the nude. But it's not my fault. I so very much want to get all dressed up & purrty, I'm just not used to it. I'm gonna try my very very best to pose for mommy today. Maybe by tomorrow, I'll have a pretty valentine photo for my webpage!

A Happy Day- Thank you PJ!

Thank you PJ for giving me a Star! I feel so very honored because it's the first star he's given. Plus his sister Callie gave me a pretty snowflake Rosette - what a kind & giving family! I couldn't resist asking them to be friends. They're both beautiful cats: Callie is a gorgeous fellow calico & PJ has such cool & unique markings to boot.

Wow, my first video is one of the top-rated videos today and it's in the very first spot! That's so kewl!

I get so excited when daddy comes home, mommy doesn't give me treats very often but daddy is sure to give me a treat when he gets home from work. He makes me go to the top of my cat tree, but it's worth it. After I eat my yummy treat I'll just lie down and stare at him in adoration. I give mommy rather evil looks at this time because she puts my treats away. Mommy says this shows how much she loves daddy because she lets him feed me and therefore earn my love. Daddy says he shows how much he loves mommy by cleaning my litter box!

I had such an exciting day. I was taking my afternoon nap as usual when Mommy woke me up. Iwasn't too thrilled about that & I really don't enjoy being carried around the house, but I was just waking up & a bit too tired to make too much of a fuss. She stopped & put me in the kitchen widow sill. What's that? Could it be? Wow, there's a cat living next door! It's a little black kitty. It didn't see me at first because the sun was in it's eyes, but it finally did see me, we just stared at one another for a while until his mommy called him down - probably for dinner. I stayed for awhile hoping he would come back until my mommy lured me away with some dinner too.

I never sit in that window because it's not as much fun as the living room window, but I have a reason to hang out there now.

I was fortunate enough to become Ben's 300th friend. That was cool enough in itself, but he gave me a Star too! And such a gentlemen - kissing my paw was just the icing on the cake. Thank you Ben!!!By the way, Ben is my 150th friend, exactly half of 300, that's kinda cool too. Ben's adoptable by the way, so if you haven't checked out this friendly & handsome kitty, please do.

Have you ever wondered if there can be such a thing as too- much catnip?

I added a couple new photos today showing everyone what I got for Christmas.

I found the most adorable video. It's called 'Too much catnip' and stars the beautiful Lucky. I highly recommend you check it out. It's only about half a minute long and it's funny too. I thought it was so nice, I commented twice. Well not on purpose, my secretary messes up sometimes.

I have received presents from two wonderful doggies! I must be one of the most popular cats on Dogster! hehe! I'm quite afraid of dogs in general, but these 2 are sooooo special, I'll make an exception & send 'em some kitty love.

Thank you ♥ Ricky ♥ for my pretty Rosette! My very first one from a dog, and he's just the most adorable little guy too, a very sweet Chihuahua from Oregon. Lucky him, he gets both the snow and the beach! Mommy had a Chihuahua as a little girl, she thinks those are just the best!

And thank you Levi for my awesome Star!!! That really cheered me up yesterday, you are the sweetest! I'm so glad you like your tennis balls (as do your kitty siblings since your attention has been diverted from barking at them!). Levi is an Australian Cattle Dog from Washington - another fun place to live! He's such a trooper having been recovering from paralysis for some time now. Levi - you may be the first doggie I've ever put on my purrayer list - I'll be purrrring for you sweetie.

Oh, it's snowing here again! I've been having the most marvelous morning watching the white stuff fall outside the living room window. I really really don't get how my mommy can do anything else with all the excitement outside, but she rarely even glances outside, ah well, people can be so weird!

Happy New Year Kitties!

Well I haven't written in my diary for quite some time now! Hmmm... oh yes, I want to talk a bit about Christmas. I had a wonderful Christmas! I didn't get any toys, but I did get some Pounce treats in my stocking, exactly what I had asked Santa Paws for! I guess that means I was a good kitty this year. I was good with all of mom's xmas presents & stuff too, I did play soccer with one of the ornaments, but I didn't break a thing!

Mommy's working on my page again, she said she didn't want other kitties thinking we were one of those families who leaves the Christmas lights up until June! So we took the decor down, but I'm leaving my xmas photos up a bit longer.

Oh, I starred in my first movie too. It's still really dark even after we edited it, even with as much light as possible on me. But you can see me and that's all that really matters, right?

It's amazing how much can happen at Catster if you check out for a week or two! Mommy is working to help me catch up on pawmails & stuff.

Oh this holiday season at Catster has been marvelous. I've joined 2 new groups recently: The Social Cats and ﮎх٦♀♣. I was even The Social Cats Kitty of the Day, how fun! I've made so many new friends too. Plus I'm having just the best time giving away rosettes (as well as receiving them!), whoever thought of this idea at Dogster/Catster was one smart cookie!

I'm still gaining weight, although at a slower pace. I've been at my new home for over five weeks. The first two weeks I gained two pounds! And since then, I've gained one more pound. When you pet me as I'm standing on all fours, you can no longer feel my backbone. I'll probably put on a few more ounces before I'm at my ideal weight though. In fact, that's my New Years Resolution - to gain more weight!

I've been tearing into the bread, Mommy's not very happy about it. She just doesn't get why I don't want the chicken she gives me or any people food at all except for the bread. It's just so yummy, perhaps I'm a vegan kitty. Mommy can try to hide it from me, but I can get into the cabinets, so there! Wait, what? Where are you taking my bread, ..... the Fridge?!, nooooooooo! Well someday daddy will forget to put it away, and I'll be waiting, mwahahaha!

Yay, I have 9 new friends! The terrific Toulouse and another 8 kitties in one go thanks to the marvelous Merlin and his family. Woohoo!

Now if mommy would just spend as much time decorating the house as she does searching for cute things to dress up my page, then our home would be a winter wonderland!

I found a new nap spot

Mommy has given in and lets me get on her computer desk now. I love to sleep right between her and the monitor. If you don't have a flat screen monitor yet I highly recommend getting your mommy to buy one, it leaves all sorts of room for me. Plus it's nice and warm since there's a little heater under the desk.

One bad thing about grandpaw coming over was that he fixed the door to the back bedroom, now it's easier for my pawrents to completely close the door & I have virtually no chance of sneaking in there.

We're starting to decorate for Christmas. My grandpawrents worried that I would attack the ornaments, but I have no problem controlling myself, I have much better (& fuzzier) toys to play with.

I submitted my photo for the holiday picture party here at Catster. I have a little santa claus hat, my pawrents tried putting it on me, but I wasn't too keen on the idea, plus the camera needed new batteries. So mommy thought it would just be easier to photoshop on a little bow to my photo, I know it was a lot easier on me. I realize that daddy's still gonna put that little hat on me for Christmas. Oh well, maybe if I pose super cute, they'll have their photo and never put it on me again. Here's hopin'

I visited all my kitty friends today and left treats for all, I even made a new friend - Shadow. I love the new festive Rosettes, I have a huge list of kitties to give them to, but I have to pace myself and not give them all away at once. Then I'd be bored & we can't have that.

I do love the holidays!

Thanksgiving - quite an adventure

I got to meet my grandma & grandpa this Thanksgiving. I ran to the bathroom and stayed there for the first few hours they were here. I had thought I'd never go in that room again after my bath, but these new people were so scary that I risked it. They smelled like a dog and another cat. I did eventually come out, but I didn't play or nap in my usual spots. I got a bit friendlier Friday (the last day they were here): I even woke them up at 4:30am playing with my turbo scratcher. I almost got friendly with grandpa, but he leaned over in his chair to pet me and it almost fell over on me, talk about tramatizing!

They did give me some treats, Grandma even gave me some turkey. I don't see what all the fuss is about turkey, I still prefer my yummy kibble.

Grandpa said he had never seen a cat my color before! Then he found a picture of a calico on the box my cat tree came in. So grandpa got to learn about calicos. (He does think I'm pretty by the way)

Grandma said that in her next life she wants to come back as mommy's cat. So I guess my life is pretty great.

I also recieved 2 turkey rosettes from my good friends Aldo & BW. Yummy! I was afraid I might have to give myself a turkey for Thanksgiving, but they saved the day.

My first Thanksgiving with my new family - just one more day!

I got all sorts of new things a few days ago.
- a scratching post, but I still prefer the legs of the piano bench
- a few more toys, my favorite is the Turbo Scratcher. If any of you kitties haven't tried it yet, you just gotta, it's pawesome!!
- a bigger litter box, I need lots of room
- a really tall cat tree. Mom and Dad had to put treats on it at first as well as spray it with a little catnip, but I'm taking to it now. It's kinda fun to be taller than everyone else.

I'm really grateful for all my new things, my new mommy & daddy are super nice.

Mommy's been working on my page. She's been taking lots of photos of me, I love being a model. I don't see what all the fuss is about calculus, it's not that hard.

She was gonna work some more on my page today, but we just heard that Grandma & Grandpa will be here tonight to spend Thanksgiving with us. So now, Mom & Dad are really busy trying to clean up the house & make lots of food. I hope Grandma & Grandpa are nice like my pawrents.

I can't wait for tomorrow: I saw some cans of soft cat food on the counter and I bet that's what I'll get for Thanksgiving dinner! Yummy!!!

2 pounds in 2 weeks

I've been at my new home for 2 weeks now. I have gained nearly 2 pounds! I got sick the first week - I even threw up, but I got used to the new food and new atmosphere pretty quickly. I really like it here and mommy's happy that I'm such a good cat: I don't beg for people food, I quit trying to get into her bedroom, I even tolerated a bath. Mommy says that she used to be very allergic to cats and still is to some cats. But mommy's allergies haven't been bad at all since I arrived (she has 3 air purifiers throughout the house and makes daddy change my litter & keep me brushed & as clean as possible). I love all my little nap spots, and my new toys, and especially all the attention I get. I've even forgiven daddy for that darn bath.

I am kitty, hear me purr!

Yay, I got a Rosette from my buddy Rushdie today! How cool is that? Thanks so much Rushdie!!!

I have a very quiet purrer, but daddy has found a way to hear me purr (without putting your ear right next to me - mommy has allergies). I nap on the top of his recliner alot & if he puts his ear to it, he can hear me purr! Kinda like putting your ear to the railroad track to know if a train is coming - like they do in all those movies.

Mommy is so happy since I had that bath, she says I'm so much softer now and that I no longer have matted fur on my tail.

Mommy's happy, Daddy's happy, and even I'm happy. Now that's what I call a purrfect day.

My first Rosette!

I just want to thank Spook for my very first Rosette. Such good timing too, it's just what I needed after daddy gave me a bath - a real bathtub bath. That was absolutely no fun at all. Thanks for bringing up my spirits Spook.

The Socialite

Today I visited all my friends and gave each of them at least 10 treats a piece. I love reading about my kitty friends. I signed up for my first group 'mixed breed cats' & then I signed up for another 'calico owners & lovers'. And most exciting, I gave away my first Rosette ever - to Rupert. He's quite a cat.

I also had another photo of myself added, this one is my impression of the Sphinx. I'm kinda sad that there aren't any photos of me as a baby to show to my new mommy. But I bet I was an incredibly cute kitten nonetheless!

I'm up to 8 pounds, Yay!

It's hard to tell from my photos because of all my fur, but I was a very thin kitty cat a week ago. But now my spine is not quite as boney. In fact I'm starting to get healthier all around. I was closer to 7 pounds last week, but I am now an 8 pound kitty. Wow! I am a rather long kitty, Mommy thinks I'm much healthier. It's so nice to be able to eat in peace, no worries, what a life!

I found a new spot - on top of the entertainment center looking out the window.

My pawrents just bought me a subscription to CatsterPlus, Woohoo!! It's gonna be so much fun giving out lots of presents to my kitty friends.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful

I just love getting brushed! My fur is getting softer everyday. Even my tail is becoming less unruly. Maybe I'll soon get my photo taken again to show off my fluffier tail.

Mommy has kept herself busy today, she's been having fun dressing up my webpage.

A Playful Day

I've added another photo of myself so you can see my pretty calico coat and my exceptionally long tail. I still love my new home. I'm starting to become more playful which makes daddy very happy, he loves to watch me chase the laser. But of all my toys, I like a silly little no frills ball the most, I carry it around everywhere. So today was about 65% napping, 30% grooming, 4% eating & visiting the litter box, which left a whopping 1% left for play. Boy am I tired!

I'm so happy here at Catster. I really appreciate all the treats I've received from everyone here, I'm still really skinny (just got adopted from the shelter) and can definitely use them. I love looking at all the photos of other kitties, but especially photos of myself, what can I say? I am a cat after all.
