"A tail of two kitties? BEFORE: my tail right after mommy & daddy brought me home, I had just been brushed too. AFTER: 3 months later, healthy & beautiful!"
Coloration: Calico
Likes: being brushed, sitting in the window sill, attention from both her pawrents at once
Pet-Peeves: when people go into the kitchen but forget to feed her or worse - use the can opener for something other than cat food, the vacuum (it might just be designed to suck up cats), litter boxes with doors (feline clawstrophobia)
Favorite Toy: a simple foam ball (thanks Oly!), turbo scratcher, platic bottle caps (anything plastic really)
Favorite Nap Spot: on the computer desk right under the monitor, the piano bench: more specifically the super awesome cushion on the piano bench
Favorite Food: KFC Grilled Chicken, Greenies, Pounce treats, bread ("if meowmy would let me at it!")
Skills: she can open cabinets & doors, managing to push daddy out of the recliner & get it all to herself
Dwells:
indoors
Arrival Story: We adopted this beautiful kitty from the humane association on November 2, 2006. They said they didn't know her history, just that her family moved away & couldn't take her with them. She was extremely thin, we don't think she ate much while in her cage next to huge barking doggies - she's very afraid of dogs. But she's so happy in her new home and has been eating very well. She was 7 pounds on November 2nd, then 9 pounds on November 16th, and as of December 13th, she's 10 pounds!
Bio: Nefer is a wonderfully sweet cat, we're very lucky to have found her. She's very well behaved & affectionate - at least to those she's used to.
We named her Neferkitty because it looks as if she has Egyptian style makeup framing her gorgeous eyes, plus she's Queen of our home! Nefertiti translates to 'the beautiful (or perfect) woman has come', so of course Neferkitty means ' the PURRfect kitty has come'.

We're moving to a new state! My pawrents have found us a new house & I can't wait to check it out!
Right now I'm at my grandpawrents house, all the humans thought it might be a bit less stressful for me to stay here during the move. As a matter of fact, we did go over the river & through the woods to get here, whataya know! I hid out under the bed for the first week or so, but I'm getting used to grandma & grandpaw now, I'm having lots of fun here.
It was AWFUL! Last night was Christmas Eve (that's not the awful part though). Now I had noticed the tree and all the presents here at grandma's house and behaved myself ever so purrfectly: I didn't knock down any ornaments or scratch any presents, I was a kitty angel. Last night they finally started opening the presents. Present after present after present, but none for me! Last year, almost all of them were for me. Plus, meowmy would give me treats as I posed for my photos with all my xmas goodies. I can't believe my pawrents didn't send me a present (they say they'll give me a belated Christmas, but how was I to know that last night?) After my grandpawrents were through opening all their boring presents - absolutely nothing smelled like catnip by the way - I searched & searched through the wrapping paper for just one little present, just one little greenie or pounce treat, but to no avail. They didn't understand why I was so upset, it was ever so frustrating!
Well, I do feel better now since meowmy explained why I was acting so strange last night and grandma gave me some yummies and even a little present (although I think it might be one of my old toys wrapped up in some of last night's wrapping paper - it's the thought that counts of course!)
I just can't wait to get settled in to my new home and I'm very much looking forward to playing on Catster again, I miss my furriends ever so much!
Mom's using the laptop tonight, it's rather a pain to use, but Catster is worth it. As long as the ol' thing doesn't catch itself on fire or something, we'll be happy!
Tomorrow is Oly's 7th birthday, how exciting! Happy Birthday sweet Oly!
I would like to thank some more kitties for the special gifts, stars, & rosettes you've sent me:
Domino for a yummy birthday cupcake & his whole family - the Prairie Katz for a shiny award trophy.
And beautiful Sparkling stars from Atlas and Chloe
And many thanks to all who have sent those gorgeous Rosettes, Catster (& Dogster) has got to be the friendliest community anywhere! I've enjoyed reading my lovely pawmails and I can't wait to get to know all my new friends!
My dear furiend Oly gave me some beautiful goodies crocheted by the very talented mom of my furiend Hazel Lucy. And now I'm a model! You can see me right on the prettyhazel.com website with my tranquility blanket & hat. I'm among very good company too!
Thank you so much Oly, this blanket is so soft & the purrfect size for my pillow, I must have the most comfy bed in the whole world!
