My old friend Alfie needs purrs

My sweet orange friend in the UK, Alfie needs purrs.
His mom posted the following message on Facebook:


I brought Alfie home from the hospital this afternoon. He's a very poorly little boy and his kidneys are failing. I'm trying to tempt him to eat a little and syringing some water for him. He's on medication but I can see the spark has gone from his eye. I know he's on borrowed time and I won't let him suffer. He looks fairly relaxed in his bed just now and is loving me talking to him and is purring. I just can't bear to think of losing him and I'm in denial just now. When I had breast cancer 7 years ago he never left my side and kept my spirits up. I just love him so much and he's my top priority just now. Please forgive me if I don't respond to your e-mails and comments but I just want to spend time with Alfie.

Sad update:


Alfie passed away at 6.00 am this morning. He was in his bed and it was very peaceful. I told him how much I loved him and how special he is and always will be. He is with his dear brother Albie now.

Calling all angels....

I have sad news. My friend Prince has made his journey to the Bridge.
Please help me welcome him.
Some of you know he had been very ill with cancer.
This morning his mom was about to take him to a specialist but had trouble
breathing and collapsed.
She took him to his vet but he didn't make it.
Those of you whose moms are on facebook can read about him Facebook

We need to help his grieving family. His mom wrote that Prince loved life.. he was a sweet love bug and a clown.

We will sprinkle healing angel dust and remind them that love is forever..

My family and I got a friend invite from a sweet family.
They have a 16 year orange/white boy named Ollie.
Ollie is 16, sick
and he is asking for help.

Welcoming a sweet friend to The Bridge

Yesterday we had so much fun celebrating with the lovely Mercy It was an all day all night birthday bash. We ate strawberry ice cream with pink whipped cream,we told funny stories about our families on earth;dude K(o trout towne)
made up funny rhymes(just between us,I think he had too much nip!MOL) We laughed until our tummies hurt; we sang silly songs; some of the more daring ones like dude k frolicked in Trout lake with the trouts; And of course we bowled at the Heavenly Bowling Alley.We were so noisy I am pretty sure some places on earth thought they were hearing thunder but it was just us!!Calvin gave little Alfiehis first lesson!I was happy to see that he is a natural bowler! Pink Party Cloud 99 looked spectacular thanks mostly to Rocky Ann's mad decorating skills!Ra,Wally wants you to know there is no such thing as too much pink!Gorgeous butterflies followed us everywhere thanks to QT
It was all so magical.............

But today it was time to get back to reality.
As a catster cat, we all gather to greet the arrival of a catster friend or family member. Calvin is our
leader. He is the one who created and he holds a huge a sign that says "CATSTER" When one of us is expecting a special friend or sibling, Calvin always graciously lets him or her hold the sign~
so the newcomer, who is somewhat disoriented will immediately find friends and family.
Today it was time for my beautiful friend Sissy to arrive. She was 19 years old and her body was just tired. She left earth peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
I know what a giant hole she leaves in their lives and hearts.She was the queen of her household, daddy's special girl.They will always miss her and their love will never die. Love is forever.
Once Sissy is settled and gets her pretty wings, we are going to teach her to visit and sprinkle her loved ones with healing angel dust.
I have a confession. I have always had a crush on Sissy.She is such a beautiful tortie girl. But oh wow in purrson, she just took my breath away! She never took my flirting seriously. I was just so young,she thought I was just a silly boy. But age doesn't matter here. We
are all young....
So welcome to your 10th life lovely Sissy.It's going to be all sunshine and joy.Of course we also take our Guardian Angel duties seriously too.Sissy has a big family,she will watch over.
In closing, I want to give Sissy fair warning,
expect a lot of flirting from Calvin, from me and probably every boy cat here.

...............A day of celebrations!

Hello my lovely friends.
I just have to tell you what an awesome day this is, a day of celebrations!

Here on catster one of my sweetest friends,Ivan is DOTD
He is practically family. I am guardian angel for his sis, Mrs Murphy.
His beautiful sister, Maedia is Ollie's girl.
A couple of days ago, I was visiting him. He was not feeling well.
My mom was looking at his pictures. And suddenly she started crying.
It's like she never saw Ivan before, but she has, many times.
It just hit her how very much he looks like me.

It is Ivan.
He is such a sweet guy, a total lovebug, again like me.
Anyway I am just so thrilled to see his sweet face on home page.
Also DDP today is my sweet friend Angel QT I am also so happy for her. It is especially sweet when a fellow angel gets this honor.
Congrats QT and I hope to see you later.
Also being honored is Angel Mercy'sbro,Nikewhich is especially sweet cause today is Mercy' birthday!
So this brings me to the celebrations up here. (Nice segue, I think. MOL)
There is a big party in Mercy's honor on
Pink Birthday Cloud 99 which our friend and Mercy's home girl,Angel Rocky Ann did such a magnificent job decorating.Thanks RA! It is just gorgeous! Pink balloons and streamers everywhere. A sea of pink!A humongous pink cake, little pink cupcakes. Pretty pink drinks with umbrellas. All the girl angels get pink sparkly wings. Of course my bro Wally had to ask for them too. Pink is his thing too.
So please all my angel pals, consider yourself invited, OK?
The party is all day and all night! We party hard up here. MOL
Also a birthday tradition, is Bowling with Calvin He taught us all to bowl! I am so excited cause this is the first time I am bringing
Little Alfie with me. Calvin said there are little bowling balls just for the little ones. Oh, and parents, if you hear what sounds like thunder? It is just us angels bowling.
We have lots of work here. We take our Guardian Angel duties very seriously but there are days like today when it is all about having fun!

For my beloved grandpa.

I wasn't planning on being here but I truly believe in the power of the purr and I need you my pals.
I need you to purr for my beloved grandpa.
He will be 98 years old tomorrow, February 8th 2012.
There is nothing much to celebrate; he is not doing well.
The other day he said to mom: "Call the doctor."
"What's wrong," she asked him. Do you know what he said?
"Tell him to come and give me an injection. I am so tired
I just want to die."
Mom put her arms around him and they cried together.

I am especially sad cause his decline started the day I left them.
I am sorry grandpa. I am sorry I can't be there so I can snuggle
with you. I am sorry my brothers are not your snuggle buddies.
I am sorry that you are so unhappy.
You are so weary; you just want to rest.
I wish I could help you...

I will fly by with my angel pals to sprinkle
