Arrival Story:
Waggles was found as a 6-8 week old stray in our workplace carpark. The person who found her couldn't take her so we offered to look after her for a night...

Bio:
In late October 2010 I decided to move overseas and, not being able to find anyone to take Waggles, I made the very difficult decision to surrender her to the RSPCA. Over 18 months on I still get upset thinking about it. The plan was to stay overseas indefinitely but that didn't work out and I returned to Cairns in January 2011. I was still traumatised by giving up Waggles, on top of other personal issues at the time. My partner at the time, of his own volition, apparently contacted the RSPCA and found out she had been adopted by a family 2 weeks after I surrended her. For various reasons I have always had some doubt of my then-partner's story. I have finally decided to adopt another kitten from the RSPCA and when I went in to get my new addition I asked about waggles. She was indeed adopted. While I still miss her greatly I am so very glad to know this. :)

Busted!

Mum & Dad are at work now. I was watching the birdees in the neighbour's yard when they left. Gee, I wish I could go and creep up on those birdees...
I had a really nice nap with mummy last night. She was watching the tv box and I founded the bestest spot on the blanket between her legs to curl up for a catnap. I got interrupted in the middle tho because Dad came out and tried to take a picture of me but I knows what they were up to! I was up and ready to play before Dad could get the pic thingy. But he didn't want to play. He went back to the computer, so I went back to sleep on mummy.
Later that evenng I got busted by Daddy. They was going to bed and all the lights were off, so I thfought the coast was clear. I was firsty and the best water at my place is in the glass box wif the fishies in the kitchen. So I jumped up on top of the glass box and was having a good drink from the filter thingy on it when THE LIGHT CAME ON! Daddy was up again and saw me, so I tried not moving for a bit to see if he would really see me, but he said he busted me so I quickly jumped off the glass box. He says I was naughty and that he worries that I will fall in the box and dwown...whateva that is. I don't think he should worree. I dont know how to dwown and dont plan on learning either :D

So many new friends!

Wow, I am so overwhelmed with all the friends requests I got after mum got me a caster page. It has really picked up my spirits as I have been a bit lonely these last few days. For the last 9 weeks there was another cat here - her name was Mocha and she is a mature calico all the way from Canada! Her parents had gone back to Canada to see their family, so Mocha came and stayed at my house. I really liked it as I had someone to keep me company during the day and I loved stalking and chasing her around the house. She was usually cranky with me but I think she didn't really mind being around me in the end.
So anyway, her parents came back last Tuesday and I am on my lonesome again. Mum and Dad do play with me when they come home from work, but I still miss Mocha. Mum said something about getting me another playmate, but it has to wait until next year, after the holidays. Mum says she is going away for awhile and I can go stay with Mocha then, so I am looking forward to that.
