Favorite Toy:
Laser beam; Ludwig; Mommy, anything that hair, belts, strings...

Favorite Nap Spot:
Top of cabinets & shelves; at night, on my pillow, over my head; next to me, head on my shoulder or in my hand, head-to-head; on my clothing, behind me on my chair

Favorite Food:
Prescription Diet t/d (dry food); Medical or Royal Canin Weight Control (cans); otherise, anything (includ. fake plants), but goes crazy for fish, milk...I can't eat in peace...

Jumping up on things and the balcony (3rd floor) and being 100% OK; jumping on a buring stove-top and being OK....after paw some paw treatments; playing board games (he lies in the middle of the board), chews on figures, rolls dice, etc.

Arrival Story:
I found him in a parking lot late at night, near a busy street and a vet hospital. He was thin...I could feel his ribs. He meowed all night begging to be let out...I thought I would bring him to the vet ASAP and not keep him. I placed notices in shopping centres, advised local vets, posted on websites....after a month, I brought Venus (I thought he was a HER) to the vet and I was already so in love with this cat which exhibits dog-like behaviour...always around me, acts as the family's guardian...Wonderful new companion to Ludwig who was alone and probably lonely when I was not home. Cassius wins your heart...he's black and so his beauty is not easily decipherable on-screen, but he is marvelous and GOOD. We crossed paths the day we had a memorial service for my brother-in-law...sometimes I think it's his soul watching over us...

The vet estimated him to be (in Oct. 2005, between 1 and 2 years I use the date I found him as his birthday. Everyone that comes to my house wants to leave with him. He became the alpha cat....Ludwig let him...but Cassius just loves us so much it's OK. This athletic fellow also jumps up on the shower structure always to my utmost surprise, and stands on guard whenever a stranger comes in the house for the first time (over and above rubbing on people, clawing up their legs, jumping on their backs). He's also the reason I have to crouch to enter my home and leave as a thief. Cassius will always try to go in the corridor to explore...I started bringing him on the lawn (wih harness and leash); perhaps I'll be able to walk him as a dog someday (the only thing I wish I could do with my cats...bring them everywhere with me...
