Nicknames: Mokes, fluff-bucket, noodle, the doll, little gal, meow-meow, little grey muffin, little grey furball, doorstop, breadbox, drive by biter
Kitty Complexion:
Coloration: Blue-Silver
Likes: playing fetch, chewing on things, chasing her feather, vocalizing, riding in the car (in her carrier, of course), following me everywhere, "helping" me do stuff, lounging in front of the heater, watching birds outside
Pet-Peeves: having her ears cleaned; when Dad wants to sit on the chair in the bedroom and she already has dibs on it; the mean neighbor cat who comes to the window and acts aggressive and hostile towards her
Favorite Toy: The Feline Flyer; paper balls; paper bags and wrapping paper; a plastic straw
Favorite Nap Spot: in front of the heater, in her cozy bed, on her kitty tower, on our bed, on her window perch
Favorite Food: Feline Greenies, sardines and yogurt
Skills: she plays fetch like a pro; she comes and sits on command; she sits up on her hind legs for a treat (a trick she taught us)
Dwells:
indoors
Arrival Story: I am a volunteer at the animal shelter where I found her. Apparently she had been found wandering alone in a field by the freeway; it's very likely someone just abandoned her. (As both a cat lover and a volunteer at the humane society, it REALLY mystifies and angers me to think that some people view animals as so "disposable"; what is wrong with this world?!)
As a result of being out on her own, Harriet learned to fend for herself very early on, which was evident from the moment I met her. She was the tiniest and sassiest kitten in a kitty condo full of rambunctious little ones. I fell in love with her immediately, told my husband to come out to the shelter with me to meet her, and we adopted her the next morning.
Bio: We think she might be a Korat or a Korat mix. Her features and temperament fit the Korat quite well. She is definitely the most unique kitty I've ever met. She follows me everywhere and won't let me out of her sight; she knows where I'm going to go and beats me to the room; she seems to understand what I'm saying to her (maybe it's the inflection of my voice. Example: when I say, "Go get your ball!", she'll run and get it). She learns tricks easily and likes to walk on a leash. Maybe she's part dog.
I don't really care what breed she is, though, because she's our sweet angel!

Knits for Kits (and Pups)
I'm purrry excited that Fall is almost here. The other day, it was very windy and leaves were blowing everywhere. I got so excited and wanted to go outside and catch them. Mom put up a bird feeder right outside the bedroom window. I'm so excited to watch the birds, too. It keeps me occupied when Mom and Dad are gone during the day. I hope everyone likes my Halloween costume! It's a pirate's life for me...well, at least a pirate's season.
A game! How fun!
