...To Morgan!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!

Morga n is 19 yrs old today and we are overjoyed here! We've got a little catnip left yet. Most of our beautiful plants didn't survive all of the heat and dryness of this summer,but Mom managed to salvage some before it all got scorched. She was determined that Morgan and Toby(and the rest of us) were GOING TO HAVE 'NIP on our special days. So she dried some out and put it in the freezer. Not quite the same as those nice fresh leaves,but it retains it's potency. We'll take it though!

We've had a tough year so far. Cole missed her 19th birthday by 26 days in Feb.(she crossed the Rainbow Bridge Feb.1st) Misky missed her 16th birthday by 6 weeks (she crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 5th) and Ethan missed her 17th birthday by 10 days. (she crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 4th.) As always,when any of us have a birthday we celebrate,but this one is very special. Our Morgan has been ill recently and we really worried that we were going to lose her. She and Bert both got sick within a few days of each other with the exact same symptoms,but Mom got medicines and spent more than a few sleepless nights making sure that they both stayed hydrated and had all that they needed. She never left them. They're both doing well now.

To be expected,Morgan has slowed down over the last few years. She has cataracts and can't see as well as she used to,but she navigates the house really well. She's eating and drinking normally and seems content. She has done some things that are out of character for her,but when you're 19 these things happen. As long as she can maintain the quality of life that she currently has then we're ok. Mom watches us all like a hawk.

In an earlier entry I had mentioned that Ben had been hospitalized. He spent 14 days in the hospital and there was a big scare there too. He is home now and back into his normal routine. Again,Mom is keeping a very close eye on him too.

We've got a couple of birthdays coming up in October. Lily turns 5 on the 25th and Toby J will have his own 19th birthday on the 26th.

Ok. I could keep writing here and give you ALL of the news from our rather overwhelming summer,but that would take a lonnngggggg time....besides...Moosh just came up and smacked me so I need to go knock him down and sit on him. He hates that. Bwahahahahahahaha

Oh hey! I need to give a BIG shout-out to the Catfather and family for the nice gifts that they left on my whole fur family's pages. That was such an incredibly awesome thing and we love them and are so very grateful for our friends. =^.^=
