 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: July 1st 1990
 Coloration: Black and White

Likes: Drinking from the sink, cold water, Chewing the ribbon on gifts, Bananas, Watermelon, cheese, real chicken and turkey, napping, getting rubbed under her chin, sitting in the sunshine, rolling her "r's" like the Spanish senorita that she is!

Pet-Peeves: Being woken from her beauty sleep (not that she needs any:), not getting fed on-time, water that's not ice cold, getting told to jump off the sink, the word "no," matts in her fur a.k.a. dreadlocks, vet visits, being picked up.

Favorite Toy: ribbons, plastic hairspray bottle caps, a.k.a. "toy-toys"

Favorite Nap Spot: It changes frequently. Usually, on the bed, on the sofa, or on the carpet. She also loves to lay in the sun first thing in the morning.

Favorite Food: Aside from people food, Lanzy loves Fancy Feast in turkey and chicken flavors best.

Skills: She is the most beautiful cat in all the world, says "Mama," and asks for "wawa" by her water bowl!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: Sixteen years ago, Lanzia was spotted huddled in her cage at the ASPCA adoption center in NYC by my Grandma and Uncle John. The 8 week old kitten's cage was marked with a sign that said "depressed." My Grandma immediately fell in love with the tiny ball of black and white fluff, and decided then and there to adopt her, and bring her home to me as en early 9th Birthday present.
The two of them drove the little cat home in an Italian car called a "Lancia," and my uncle suggested that as her perfect name. (I later changed the spelling, just to be creative!). On the way home, my grandma tried in vain to rub the "dirt" off Lanzy's little nose, but of course, it wasn't dirt at all, just her "beauty mark"!!
Back at home, I was sitting at the dining room table, when my uncle and grandma walked in. My uncle told me he had something for me, and sure enough, sticking her head out of his trench coat pocket was Lanzy, the tiniest prettiest kitten I've ever seen...and well, she's been my best pal ever since.

Bio: Lanzia is the Queen of the House! This beautiful cat has been my best pal ever since I was 9 years old, and I like to think of her as my baby sister! Lanzia loves having her chin, ears, and nose rubbed, eating her favorite foods, and being pampered. Lanzy is a lady in everyway! If she wants your attention, she'll get it with a soft "mew" or a very gentle press of her paw against your arm or leg. If she's getting pet, she'll often return the favor with a gentle headbutt, or a sleepy eyed look that says it all. I learned a lot about being a "lady" from Lanzy. She was, and always will be, my little princess cat.

In Loving Memory: On Thursday, October 19, 2006, our beloved princess, Lanzia, passed away from old age. She was in her home, and surrounded by my mother and myself, the two people she loved the most. She was more than a pet, she was a member of the family, and she will be with us in spirit forever. We love you, Lanzy!!

My big sis just found out today that Tuxedo cats are also known as "Jellicle" cats. So, this whole time, there has been a song (from the musical Cats) about me, and we didn't know it!
Back at home, things have been going well for the family. They've recently adopted a new little brother for me, Marmalade. He really needed a loving home, and if they were going to get another kitty, I'm glad it's him! They still think of me, and talk to me all the time, and they know I will always be a part of their home, and their hearts.
For my part, I like to think of myself as Marmy's new guardian angel. I keep watch over him, and have already guided him to some of the best napping spots in the house!
My family missed me, but they also have a lot of love to give. Marmy is one lucky boy!

It's been about a month and a half since I've gone to the Bridge now, but I'm still as much a presence in the house as ever. My family knows I'm safe and happy, and I'm watching over them. Whenever they miss me the most, and need a snuggle, I wait until they are sleeping, and visit them in their dreams. I know that I am loved today just as much as when I was on Earth...and the ones we love never truly leave you.
Purrrs and rubs to all the Catsters for giving my meowm and big sister lots of suppurrrt.
