indoors Arrival Story: After the heartbreaking loss of our boy cats, Nikki and Sarshod many years ago, and then our sweet girl cat, Libby, in 2001, I swore, Never Again. Three "catless" years passed and our home was so empty without the pitter pat of little paws. One day a friend told me there were free kittens available at a home in a subdivision nearby. I said, Well I guess we could go look. (I took my cat carrier just in case)
We arrived at the house and there were kitties everywhere! Of course, who can resist a kitten? But still, I was reluctant to give my heart away. We petted them all, spoke to the people, and left without taking any home.
As I drove the 20 minute drive back home, I felt the "tug" at my heartstrings....I got back into town, but the "tug" was so strong......at which point I turned the van around and went back. I was going to get one cat. Then I thought to myself, OK, one is good but two would be great. If I could grab two, we'd go with two.
I picked out one and took it to the carrier in the back of the van. I went back and thought, OK, if it is meant to be that we have two cats, I will be able to get another one before it slips through my hands. Bingo! Got the second one. I just grabbed the first one that walked by.
Drove home with two brothers, Micah & Tory! They are inseparable....love each other so much and are so close. They are each so precious in their own way...each one completely different from the other yet both so perfectly sweet. I am so thankful I got two!!!! It was definitely meant to be.
Now we enjoy each day with our two boys, who have filled our home with meows and purrs again.......and warmed our hearts with their charm and unconditional love. Lives Remaining: 8 of 9 Forums Motto: Conversationalist I've Been On Catster Since:
